A) The assumption that one didn't look at any other page on the thread. B) The assumption that any person, especially new persons, may have known that the originator of the subject had long left the building. C) The assumption that when a thread goes to be 50 million comments that one ought to be crassly told to go through potentially all of them to find a single hyperlink. That last one is what made it "Prickable" in my book. It's not like I coulda done a VLC search and found it easily. Lastly, I'm not new, I don't post stuff like that off the cuff, and when I'm caught not finding stuff I have admitted to being lazy with the search. So to be honest I didn't appreciate the unnecessary "Pricknes" when a simple "no comment" or "it's on page such and such" would have been far more productive for all involved. lastly, the offending poster, knew he was being a prick and said so. purposely being a prick gives other people the right to call you one too. |

Re: Don't be a Prick!
Actually Joe, I was in a particularly good mood until that "I'm going to be a prick" comment got posted. I've been here over a year and though I've seen my share of hostilities (iPhones, OS updates, MaemoMapper slams, etc) I've usually not responded to most. Heck, I used to be put off by General Antillies, but I've gotten used to him. :-)
but for some reason, the idea of someone being an *****, and then declaring herwas going to be so crossed a line with me. Accidental disrespect I tolerate. Purposeful disrespect I don't. |

I think this thread would make a great musical.

A) In your new thread, not linking to the relevant post... (It took someone else to even point to the thread.) B) When you did chime in to retort, again no link. It seems the problem is that once the original starter of a thread fades, no one else can edit the first post. Here's an idea! The next time this happens why not start a new thread with an appropriate title, post links to the updated information, (like qole did) and then explain your reasons for doing so, including your "prick" diatribe. :) But then again... we wouldn't get to see GeneralAntilles name next to your "Don't be a Prick" title every now and then when we hit the "New Posts" link. :D |
