I was in Target (a large retailer in the US), and saw a whole rack of netbook cases on clearance. It looks like they are not going to be selling netbooks much longer.

As do I. The netbook boom has satisfied all the people wanting them. Now we're getting the "keeping up with the Joneses" people. The MID market on the other hand is anything but dead. In fact, I expect it to explode like the netbooks did, but on a much delayed time scale. The reason being, people can get their minds around netbooks, as they're more or less tiny laptops. But MIDs take a bit of a shift in your thinking. And once people get their minds around what MIDs really are, I think you'll start seeing them sell like hotcakes. :) |
