It is unreasonable to expect parents to watch their children 100% of the time, but for christ's sake... that's just neglect.

I hear the local tv report talking about it in the other room, going to check it out.

Speaking of neglect.... they just said on the news that the father would regularly take his two children on 'storm chases.'

Nothing like offering your children up to the gods.

I'm beginning to think this is going to turn out to be a hoax.

They let the balloon go, and the kid is just chillin' somewhere.

Who else here would rather that the news waited and checked what happened before they started reporting this 'breaking news'..... It really served zero purpose. Breaking news should be reserved for things that effect everyone's lives, like wars breaking out.... It should not be used to tug on your heart strings.

I find it rather sickening overall

An investigation should be conducted on the parents.
