to add some fuel to the fire, the hangup is that nokia is waiting for some networking patches to clear the kernel code before they add MMS.

i suspect that if the N900 had not been exposed at phone-review.com, nokia could have hold of the launch of the product until said patches had made it into the kernel, and they could have gotten the client part ready.

hell, it would not surprise me if nokia have the client code for MMS sitting on some git server, just waiting to be compiled and pushed to repo.
