Dead/stuck pixels are bad enough but dust in the screen?? The factory procedures should be checked. Come on, my OQO e2 came with a factory mounted screen protector and it was perfect, not a spec of dust. And I'm talking about a screen protector, not the screen itself!

BTW, my second unit also had two small specs of dust inside the screen. They appeared clearly a layer above the pixels. It was easy to see this with text on the screen and tilting the unit. Because of parallax, the dust particle seemed to move relative to the text.

Its really hard to tell if there is dust particles on the screen or if its light leakage. Only 2 of the pixels stand out above the others. I have to move the screen around to see the others and even the main 2 cant be seen from certain angles.

Try to take a flashlight when the screen is off, and light on the screen, from several angels, it is pretty easy to see if it is dust or not (dead og stuck pixels is only a problem when screen is on).

Yes, I saw the dust particles in direct sunlight shining on the screen.

Gave this a go and it appears that there is dust under the top screen but no dust on the areas where I am seeing the 2 white pixels. Have run that flash site with all the colors etc but that didnt make a differance. Not to worried as they are very hard to see luckily.

Just tried to take images of the Stuck Pixels on my N900, to illustrate how it looks. It is very hard though, several attempts and not really a good image, but the best is the one below.

Nokia N900 Stuck Pixels, black image brightness set to max:

Below trying to show the dust and hair I got under the screen, the dust is noticeable when using the unit, but only in lighter contents, could be mistaken for dead pixel.

Nokia N900 Dust and Hair particle, using flashlight with screen off:

Know there is more dust, but all other is outside the screen, very hard to clean screen totally, this was the best I could do :).

I got my replacement from Amazon.com last week, had a number of quite visibly dead pixels on my original N900. However, keep in mind that your poll will be severely skewed as not only is this site a small subset of N900 purchasers but it is also much more likely that the small percentage of N900 owners on T.M.O. with dead pixels will click the poll rather than a representative sample.

Anyway, thank you for the little test site, I am sure it will help people :) .

Just voted for a yes.
We have a cluster of about 12 dead pixels. Unboxed the phone, which we pre-ordered from the Nokia store in London.

Turned on the phone, and saw a cluster of white..
It was quite a "wtf" moment.. :P

I found one stuck white pixel on the bottom left side of my screen. Then I requested a replacement from amazon and the new device had about 4 or 5 white stuck pixels. I am really pissed at the moment. I am not sure if I will give it another try and order a replacement again or if I just keep the one with the single stuck pixel. The reanimation stuff didn't work on my phone so far.
