the equilizer is good but makes the mplayer slow and it stops when your scrolling on songs and adjusting the eq..it also uses cpu too much around 75%

mine is using 50% and scrolling still very responsive. I have 1750 songs.

i too find performance compromized. every time i hit my top button to bring up the menu music playback pauses. i also find my battery consumption is up. it seems to be cpu intensive.

It's not just little but it's EXTREMELY cpu intensive.

Makes my cpu run at a constant 500mhz and mafw-dbus-wrapp alone uses 50% on average constantly.
Then you have pulseaudio using 10% as well so it's like 60% @ 500mhz for just mp3 playback.

That's just way too much imo. A $20 mp3 player is better than my $600 N900. Lovely.

Is there a way to just turn off or disable the EQ part without uninstalling it?

1. dpkg -i mafw-gst-eq-renderer_0.1.2009.47-1-1mgr_armel.deb
2. apt-get -f install
3. apt-get remove mafw-gst-renderer
4. reboot

Your steps worked flawlessly. Thank you,

The media player is now having a new life.......................YAIK!
