WINE is a reimplementation of Win32 APIs; it allows native execution of Win32 binaries.

With QEMU providing x86 emulation, it's useful for running Win32 x86 binaries -- which are in great abundance.

Without QEMU, it would be useful for running Win32 ARM binaries. Unfortunately, there aren't any of those, so it's not useful at all.

i'd love to run (valve) steam in wine on N900, if so, we can probably even try playing team fortress 2!

in text=only mode ofcourse! (no shaders/video card drivers needed) :D

Do yo have the source code for it? It does not look like open source to me, only took at a glance to the website anyway.
