He should have done it on forum nokia, not here.
This a community, not a sales support site.

I see. So I can ***** here about a surgery I had because it costs so much? Why not? That's the logic, right, if you spend a lot on something you should be able to ***ch about it anywhere you please?

This is not a Nokia forum. It's barely even watched by Maemo employees any more, and Maemo was not the company setting the price on this device. Nokia has a feedback system, and a home office one can easily post from almost anywhere on the planet. If he feels the need to gripe, do it to the people that charged him £500, not the community group he didn't consult until after selling it.

(Oh, and he did sell it, so he's not exactly out £500 now, is he?)

You don't sell something because you don't know how to operate it, and then sign up to a help forum and complain about it. If he had tried to find solutions here and then didn't find/like the answers, that's one thing. What he actually did by selling it and then complaining about it is entirely different, and serves no real purpose other than to gripe and troll.

Ok but he doesn't seem like a troll. Furthermore the user driven internettablettalk is synonymous with the internet tablets. Not a corporate symbian centred Nokia Forum.

Perhaps there should be a subforum within the General for disgruntled n900 user threads so potential purchasers can consult it.

Should have come here first and said you wanted another phone I would have traded you my blackberry for the N900 it does MMS. The browser sucks and there is not a decent ssh client for it but it does MMS real good even though I have only used that feature 4 times.
There is a reason there is a Ford and Chevy people want choices, if Nokia does not meet your needs then move on get a phone that does.
I am still trying to find a perfect device for me, if I had the blackberry email capabilities with the N900 browser and ssh client I would have it.
Sadly the email client on the N900 is crap, but I have downloaded the the new QT SDK and am working on fixing that, so who knows maybe I can make the N900 the perfect device for me someday.

Moral of the story: Don't buy an n900 unless you are willing to learn Python and code your own apps

I am seriously considering it but its a bit much to expect from a commercial device.
