Thanks for the suggestion but you may be the only one with such an impression, as for me i don't feel i included a "tone" which would require intervention, unless you got distracted by my appearance, so may i suggest that you check your "receiver"? If you had browsed through my stats you would have seen that I love to help wherever i can (not only), but having good antennas which can well distinguish cases where laziness or even over-enthusiasm is involved, i left this gap purposely in this case, to trigger curiosity, to make the OP and others use the search function, it's called self-help assistance. I believe in learning processes, so in most cases a direct approach is the most effective way to make people learn the abc of proper forum usage, for this place is messy enough already. Should i have paved the way with rosebuds by adding emoticons? Should i search on behalf of other people who don't want to search for whatever reason? Now you can argue that giving methodical hints be the job of a moderator, but frankly, i don't feel like waiting until hell freezes over.
This is sad, trolls mostly get away with their actions but clear, non-rude statements which are meant to preserve the structural integrity get criticized. Moderation is a wonderful thing. It's also ridiculous that i am asked to elaborate on such a trifle, because no glass has been broken... |
