Re: Any chance to port iOS ?!
Rather than porting the iOs, we should spend our time writing a guide for how to port their apps to Qt/Maemo and send it to all apps developers.

But maybe....
http://apple.shawnliv.com/index.php/ios-4-cydia-source/ And if not: If I install jailbroken iOS by iTunes to a MicroSD and... add an entry in bootloader it could run! |

Re: Any chance to port iOS ?!
why not iOS on N900?lets just prove N900 expanded abilities ..
i hope developers gonna take a look at it ,soon it is not about apple,in the end it is gonna be N900 who will be playing all ( maemo linux + android + meego + iOs + mac ) in one .. lets roll it |
Re: Any chance to port iOS ?!
Because it's stupidly improbable to happen.
We don't have any source, we have very little information on how the bootloader for it work. We don't have access to the kernel. The toolchain is for macs, linux has a few but they're very limited. The drivers would be so hard to do. This is never going to happen. |
Re: Any chance to port iOS ?!
N900 is just the way it should be with Linux... Fun! Open! OURS!
Screw all this closed source *****!! (yes, I see my signature says I have an iPad and MBP - hypocritical - maybe) |
Re: Any chance to port iOS ?!
Surely it would be best just to buy an apple device that is optimized for ios?
That's like buying an f1 car and then taking the engine out and putting in a rotary pedal from a bike. |
