Definitely gets my award for most unintentionally inappropriately named app.

Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager

Just installed and did an immediate update of Catalogues and Apps. Blazing fast in addition to having an epic name.

This one's a keeper!

EDIT: found more things I like about it:
* Version numbers in remove apps list as well as download list
* Use of the online "greenlight" as the loading icon :D
* Searching for apps by typing with keyb works good.

app bug report.

When in portrat mode the fore page is still stay in lanscape mode. and when ever you select an app to install it will jump back to apps start "C" .

Thing needed to make the Fapman much user friendlier:

you need an on screen text field or button to load vkeyboard to make the search better and faster.

for example, click on the button and the text box appear.
App should do a scan search and update automatically when there is internet connection. This help speeding and reducing the scanning and wait period.

Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager

I've tried this app and it seems pretty quick.
But everytime when i try to upgrade I get this error: Exit code 100, status 0
Any idea what that might be?
I havent been able to use it properly due to this error but when that being solved i'll use it more often.
Great work anyhow:)

It looks like apt-get purges packages by default in Maemo.

Please read the thread. See what's in your log file after getting that error.

Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager

Version 0.3 now with application icons!

* A completely new dialog system for selecting package operations
* A separate package status filter

These mean you can switch between all/installed/not installed/upgradeable packages in the package view and choose different operations at the same time. The buttons in the main screen are merely shortcuts for these filters now.

* Show more information for packages (including application icons)
* A menu item to view the log
* Fixed: wait screen not following device orientation changes
* Added "Help" which explains the new package status icons
* Various smaller fixes and tweaks

Now itīs working nicely
Would really like to see the appimages in this aswell.
Using it just as an fast upgrader at the moment

Well, thanks for your effort with this app :)

Edit: Saw them icons working after updating to the newest version and a reboot. Thanks!

Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager

works wonderfully here.

I have to say that i really like your style ;) I just hate with passion couple of things:
-current implementation of list scroll in maemo default menus. Higlihting menu items when you are swiping your finger (making scrolling not smooth) and selecting stuff by mistake

- waste of space on this small screen. usage of empty space(padding) around quite many places.

you have managed to fix/avoid both on your app! great work :)
