I tried running the script that kills hildon-home etc. It's a solution all right but I'm still not convinced that suddenly killing daemons etc is a good idea.

Well I can only hope Nokia will sort this out in future patches.

I have understood that is due to a BUG with the hildon and nokia will not fix it:(

the script definitely helps, and im overclockin it too! i had to reboot cuz of fcam but i got two days pretty smooth.

is one week the limit?

wondering if a daily reboot would be better...

There is no limit, only that most of the people that use their device hard like GOD sends:D probably have to reboot because of new software, or maybe because they want to try another kernel setting or another video of the intro. But I'm pretty sure that if you don't do those things you won't have to reboot ever. There are other factors like the smartreflex enabled that can cause some inestability. If you want to reboot it's ok but a computers and any other electronic device are meant to be ON all the time without any reboots. Imagine if google had to reboot their servers every 10 hours??

I recommend you to change the swappiness setting. That really makes this effect hardly noticable.

Details in this thread.

Some people report that setting it to 30 effectively improves performance and response time significantly, even after a few days of use.

(I would recommend to set it in the init script - mentioned in the linked post - to 30, then do a reboot.)

After disabling the widgets, I had I still got hit with the bug, and it was about 3 days as well. Will look at the swappiness setting.
