Re: Overclocking for a dummie
Just read the Jakiman posts and ignore the rest of the stuff in this thread. His guide is the simplest/most accurate. Most of the other stuff I see here is shockingly inaccurate.

For further info, re-read jakimans guide. If you STILL cannot work out how to acheive what you are trying to do then ask SPECIFICALLY how to do it. |
Re: Overclocking for a dummie
quick questions -
this thread got me playing with oc again yesterday. I know its possible to check the cpu limits in xterm , but is it possible to check which profile you have running and if you can set smartreflex via the terminal? also if smartreflex set via terminal results in reboot - would the reboot be in non smartflex mode? thanks |
Re: Overclocking for a dummie
when we save our voltage profile (to say my profile1), do we need to set it again every time we reboot? (in other words, does voltage not save to the changed kernel-config saved setting?)
also, if we use QCPUFreq to change profile, or "Load Preset", does it set it permenantly or does it go back to default after reboot? how do we know what profile is currently loaded? does the output of 'kernel-config show' tell us somewhere? |
