Re: scummvm 0.10

Can anyone help me get the Police Quest games running on my N810? I've got ScummVM installed and running (Along with a number of Lucasarts games). I just bought two packs in the Play.com sale. The Police Quest and Space Quest collection. I've copied the data files over from Police Quest 1 (VGA version) and Police Quest 2 but when I navigate to the directories to select them ScummVM says it doesn't see a game there.

The VGA version uses SCI, so you need an sci emulator (http://pupnik.de/freesci.html). ScummVM can only play the old AGI version.

How about Larry 1 VGA version? It could be played with stylus.

It won't recognise Police Quest 2 either and that's AGI.

Visit the ScummVM compatibility page and you'll see what games can run...

Better check the one for 0.10

0.11 should be in mid January or so.

Hi fanoush, you made a great job.
I'll try beeath a stell and broken sword 1 & 2 with my new N810.

Bs2 doesn't seems to work with the default settings, i'll look for this later.

I've got a request for the next release if it were possible!
Will it be possible to map the keyboard ourself:
like choosing wich key make right/left clic and menu button?

I don't know if you know but the integred keyboard works completely whene tapin a name in sav message box.

Generic keymapper is in the pipeline in scummvm project but not yet ready for 0.11.0 (which is just around the corner). So not in next release but perhaps sometime in relatively near future (0.12?).

Yes, I hoped so. I also hope I will test it with my own N810 real soon :-)

Re: scummvm 0.10

As you may already know ScummVM is approaching 0.11.0. Yesterday it was tagged in SVN and release will be in next few days (on Tuesday?). Good news is that maemo port is now committed to scumvm SVN and will be part of official 0.11.0 source at www.scummvm.org (once it is available). It still is a bit dirty so most of it is committed as a patch. Making it more clean is work for 0.12 when we will hopefully have generic keymapper (with GUI) in scummvm for all engines and platforms.

You can get the binary compiled from 0.11 SVN branch here
http://fanoush.wz.cz/maemo/scummvm_0.11.0-0_armel.deb
Please test it if you can and report issues here. This becomes the official release version if no serious bug is found. I will replace 0.10 version in extras repository and downloads.maemo.org when it is officialy released at www.scummvm.org.

If anyone has troubles with recompiling the source let me know. Also if you have no troubles but want to help with the port, let me know too :-)
