Re: partially or broken pakages (dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/.....)
Hello,
I'm having a problem after uninstalling Documents to Go Viewer (trial expired long ago so it was not needed). At the end of uninstallation with App Manager I noticed my N900 made a reboot. After reboot all seemed ok. Docs to Go was uninstalled, no icons etc. But I can't install or uninstall anything with App Manager or Faster Application Manager... I've run sudo gainroot apt-get update apt-get upgrade At the end of apt-get upgrade I have this notification: dpkg: parse error, in file " /var/lib/dpkg/available " near line 17347 package " lens-cover-reminder-sp " : EOF during value of field "Depends" (missing final newline) E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2) Can't uninstall Lens cover reminder too, any help will be appreciated. I'm not an expert on this :( |

This could happen if the status file is corrupted, often due to no more free space during writes.

Re: partially or broken pakages (dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/.....)
It would be helpful to have some more info about the state of your package manager and your repository settings.
Please try in X-Terminal to give the output of Code:
sudo gainroot |
