That doesn't mean open except this liddle tiny bit over here, they are fooling no one.

If they want to appease the corporate lock in peeps that understand no different then let them compete at the application layer with proprietary software, let everyone else have a completely open OS with open standards.

i will live with my N900 as long as its functioning. after N900 if any decent device came from Nokia not WP then for sure i will buy it otherwise i will be a another Samsung user which left Nokia because its now sleeping with Microsoft.

Nokia had their time with symbian , but its bad now after iphone and android came to life ! , so nokia moved toward windows ! thats one BIG fault , i believe that in couple of years nokia will shut down , because i saw many people moving to iphone during the symbian , more people moved to androids when it came and their comemnts were "am never getting a nokia again" , i am now living with my N900 , and will move to android rather than windows+nokia if my N900 dies

android? chew it out. we will move to BBX (new versions of blackberry OS which are reworked in core and which is compatible with unix standards). if we really need those android apps they can be easily ported to BBX with no much more than recompilation. the only problem are propertiery modules but it won't disable us to use free linux (eg. maemo) apps on UNIX compatible system (well a bit work on porting may be needed)

Samsung Galaxy S2 with Meego would be nice.

Then again Samsung Galaxy S3 with Tizen; and w/ Qt, J2SE, J2ME and Dalvik would be even more nicer.
