Re: Quickddit - Reddit client for Harmattan
Thank you for picking up this project!
Just a small suggestion: make a new thread for your fork so that the first post have all the relevant information and people don't get confused as was done for Yappari. |
I'm getting hash mismatch on the latest build

I still use my N9 as a primary phone and Quickddit is one of the apps I use daily. Thank you for updating! I was unable to update it from warehouse, but direct download from openrepos.net worked just fine.

Installed the latest version manually. I really miss the topi c url button that was in the same place as 'share'. I never use the 'share' as it doesn't have the options I need. Usually I just want to copy-paste thread URL to a friend via IM. Any chance to have this button back?

But yeah, I agree there should be a way to copy the reddit topic URL. |

Has anyone tried to rebuild sources from scratch ?

Hello
The SSL handshake fails since several months, so nothing work now... :( I managed to install the new Certificates of Reddit that I extracted by Firefox (PC). For that, I followed the step by step described here : https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.ph...ariadne+acmcli (basically install inception, run sha1sum on .pem and run ariadne acmcli for adding certs). I can see now the 3 new certificates in System Settings / Security / Certificates :) Unfortunately, the SSL handshake still fails.:( I'm afraid the problem is deeper. Would you have any idea for going forward ? |

Hi smartblu9
You need to patch the network module from Qt and recompile Qt. Probably you need a newer openssl for compiling and for the device. TLS 1.2 was introduced in openssl 1.0.1. Jonwil did something like this for Maemo: Maemo5 Qt network patches: https://github.com/community-ssu/qt-...5&branch=tls12 Newer Maemo5 openssl 1.1.0h: https://github.com/jonwil/openssl I think you should be on openmode Kernel, makes life easier. |
