Probably not if you're 1 of 2. Since I threw in such a list, that's a different thing probably. But I believe everybody interested in community affairs with a sane mind and willingness to compromise suits better than any thick-headed for extreme standpoints.

Mentalist Traceur will also most likely not be in. Last time I heard, he was very busy and kindly declined last election.
I mentioned him nevertheless because he already proved good instinct during last referendum.

While it's obvious that election rules need adjustment, there seems consensus that the role of council needs to be redefined as well.

IMHO, Council obligations should be put so that it basically handles maemo community life, inside MC eV as well as for community in large.
IMHO, Council shall not have a role "superior" over board in a sense that it could force Board to any business that they don't agree to.
Oh, and please make sure that this time there is really really only 1 (unified) council left in place, in case it doesn't abolish itself. ;)

Nothing is set in stone, a "work group" could be established instead but MC eV is designed to have a council. Changing that would require some serious rework of Bylaws and Association Rules and would leave associated members (basic maemo.org users) behind.

Next thing would be a Coding Competition as advocated by HiFo Board already and suggested here again.
If everything works out as planned, MC eV will inherit HiFo funds of ~3.300,- $.
Should be feasible, crucial point still is the bank account, hopefully this can be resolved soon™. Afaik, MC eV board is after it.

If nothing else, that's about it! :D

As for the other roles;

Admins take care of the physical/logical infrastructure that Maemo runs on; we have a cluster of virtual servers that handle the TMO, Garage, Wikis, Mailing lists, etc. Also administrating the IRC channels kind of falls in this category.
Moderators handle the topics on TMO talk areas.
Board Directors handle the financial/official/paperwork related things that go into running an non-profit institutution, whether it be a foundation like HiFo or registered association like Maemo Community e.V.

Oops. How about sane mind but think-headed for extreme standpoints? :)

If elected, I'll do my best to improve my "willingness to compromise". Like here (work), they want us to be more "resilient". Now I walk with my back against the wall. You never know when your resiliency will be put to test! :)

Well, at my previous job, I was told off for not being a "team player" (translation: daring to suggest alternatives to what the boss and his buddy told me to do).
