I'd be tempted to reflash and try again on that one, everyone else seems to be having much better luck |

What about multiboot?
Has someone tried? It could be great to have both stock Android and Sailfish on the same device... at least for me. |

Re: Sailfish OS on Sony Xperia X (community build)
Tried to write this this morning, but apparently something ate my post.
I had some issues with wlan completely disappearing which might be useful to mention here. - I first flashed m4r0v3r's original build (the mega.nz download), which worked as well as could be expected, including wlan - The only issue with that image was that it didn't have support for Jolla accounts or the store, so I then reflashed to the second image from the first post of this thread - To my surprise, wlan didn't work at all. During initial setup I got the prompt to select a wireless network, but it said that wlan was off and no matter how many times I tapped the button to switch it on, nothing happened. - After skipping setting up wifi, I found that the entire wlan device was just not there. Messages in dmesg seem to indicate that the wlan card just doesn't power up correctly anymore. - Rebooting doesn't help, re-flashing sfos doesn't help After some investigation by #sailfishos-porters (Thank you sledges and vknecht!), it seems that the only workaround is to: - re-flash Android (I used the downgrade procedure from sailfishosmods.de to flash back to Marshmallow) - go through the setup procedure for Android and connect it to a wireless network (just discovered this: it doesn't work if you reboot before actually having connected to a network) - then switch off and flash sfos again I thought it had something to do with my setup: I have the same network on both 2.4 and 5 GHz with different BSSIDs and hidden SSID. Only enabling the 2.4 GHz network does not seem to make a difference, I'll try unhiding the SSID when I next get some time to reflash. |
