I just uploaded to extras-devel the new version of Omweather - 0.28.3
Changelog:
* Added string for translation
* Updated Spain, Italian, French translations
* Added new icon size
* Fixed problem in theme Okuda bug #11036 "Forecast text not displayed when Okuda theme is installed"
* Fixed Day Length format
* Fixed bug #10076 "updating omweather without desktop applet shouldn't suggest a reboot

Hi vasvlad!

OMWeather really seems like a great application, however there seem to be very few cities to choose from where I live (middle of Sweden). The Swedish government don't care about 'open data' and so on, but Norway does. I made a quick search and saw there was a bug marked 'closed' regarding the weather source: http://www.yr.no/english/1.2025949

My question would be, are there any planes for including YR or any other source with more Swedish cities?

Dear Vlad,

I've decided to install the new versiom of OMWeather and the new version of the Database on my OS2008 Diablo N800.

It was a mistake...

The cities cannot be found anymore, It says "no weather data" and "wrong station code" it is very difficult to find a new city.

When clicking on the preferences icon, for the second time, the program just shut down, till a new reboot of the machine..

I'm also not able to uninstall the program from the application manager.

How can it be possible to go back to my former stable and very good version.

This last ver I have now is 27.11 (was 23.something before)
and the DB ver is 9.18, (was somthing with 95 before)

Please show me output of command in xterm:
apt-cache policy omweather
and please describe your problem step by step for reproducing

Dear Vlad,
1. Yesterday I updated the Omweather program and the cities database.
This last ver I have now is 27.11 (was 23.something before) and the DB ver is 9.18, (was somthing with 95 before)
2. It is not possible to have the weather information for most cities that are already in my list, It says "no weather data" and "wrong station code" . When I try to find new cities, the application is very "heavy" and stuck.
3. When clicking on the preferences icon, (on the left bottom of the program screen) the program just shut down.
4. There is no possibility to uninstall the program or the database (for trying a new clean installation), it says; "require by application package". Although I was happy with my previously installed version. I also think that my former database package was better since it was lighter on the machime and respond much quicker.
5 I send the xterm print for the commands: omweather, apt-cache policy omweather, cat "/var/lib/gconf/apps/maemo/omweather/%gconf.xml", ~/apps/omweather $ ls -l -a. They are going to be shown at the folowing msgs.

Try to add London.

Hi Vlad,

1. Loading the weather city darabase lisr, is still vety "heavy", and it take long till it shows any city.

2. When clicking on the preferences icon, (on the left bottom of the program screen) the program just shut down.

Openning the preferences is important so I can choose from there the cities to be shown,, but this option is available one time only after rebooting,. Next time this preferences is not accseable, the program jut shut itself down.

You have bad config file. Please deinstall omweather. Remove config file. Reboot device. And install omweather again.

Dear Vlad,

Finally after several tries I could uninstall the program.
Then removed the config file, 'rm /var/lib/gconf/apps/maemo/omweather/%gconf.xml' rebooted, and installed the omweather ver 27.11 again.

But, the same problem persist...

1. Loading the weather city darabase lisr, is still very "heavy", and it take long till it shows any city, and sometimes shows only part of the cities.

2. When clicking on the preferences icon, (on the left bottom of the program screen) the program just shut down.

3. It could be the best if I could return to the stable ver I had, ver 22.12 with db ver 9.5. And I hope no bugs stay from the last ver.

Ok encountering an error when updating the current weather, either on wifi or celluar radio, it displays the yellow status bar stating Updating Weather, and it just freezes there across all desktops. The only to get rid of this Ive found is to remove the widget from the current desktop and then the status disappears as well.

I'd love to have some kind of theming scheme in this app. Like the desktop clock widget. Since the default layouts use png images designers could provide them to give the app a better look with the theme in use.

I use ExtraCoffe theme from D-Iivil, and it look great :)

Has there been any progress with tori's issues - post #207?
I've similar issues with the same version of omweather on an n800 (OS 5.2010-33-1 with community SSU installed).

I think it's the applet that's broken as the application seems to work when I select from the menu but if I click on the screen applet it's buggy.

I've pretty much stopped using the app since the last release way back in April (I think?). Perhaps some issues crept in with the changes for the n900.

I just uploaded version 0.28.6 into extras-devel repository. This version includes your modification. You can change colors of fonts in file
/opt/maemo/usr/share/omweather/images/Extra_coffe/style.rc

If you want to change your mod please say me about it.

Last OMWeather update lost all widgets. When i put back widget and add OMWeather widget then all widget lost again.

I update OMWeather yesterday over Application Manager.
All works fine before update.

I'm having the exact same problem.

Everytime I attempt to add the OMWeather widget to the desktop, it crashes all my widgets.

I am also experiencing the same crashes since I updated yesterday - my widgets are fine if OMWeather is not loaded but the minute I load it, it crashes all the widgets...

run this command
cp /tmp/omw.log /media/mmc1
and you can find file omw.log in mmc card. Send me this file.

I can reproduce this every time, however I do not see an omw.log in my /tmp folder. Prior to this update my omweather was set to show today + 2 days with 4 weather stations setup currently. Currently all I have to do to make it crash is yo start configuring my desktop and add OMWeather, at this point all widgets crash and the the desktop clears finally reloading my bookmarks and other shortcuts...

I cannot even get in to change my settings as the widget will not load at all...

How do I get a log file or more information on this crash for you?
