agree ako dyan! my co-worker has a motorola droid which he rooted/hacked so he was able to install android 2.2 froyo which is the only OS right now that supports flash 10.1...hanep pwde sya pumunta sa kahit anong streaming website (i.e hulu, veoh) which our beloved N900 can't do yet particularly hulu.com

Anyway Adobe made an announcement that flash 10.1 will eventually be available for all phones

my mom loves me so much (every mom loves their child). masyadu strict, kya no wonder hanggang ngaun single pero masaya ko sa full benefits of being single.

kya lang nung nkuha ko ung n900 ko, my mom started to suspect that i am chattin/texting with girls. panu ba nman, 24/7 ko hawak, ni indi ko mabitawan. :D

from kawit here. the land of emilio aguinaldo. (bleh!)

grabe nakakaloka, bongga bongga nmn ng thread na to. puro taga ibang bansa naman halos. sino bang tagapinas talaga?

for those in the states, can you recommend a good case? built in book type/crystal/silicone -- anything. wala ako makita. the best ive seen are the china crap that doesnt fit properly. i would really like to be able to protect my phone in some way...mahal pa tong fon than most netbooks tapos deadma sa case...any suggestions?

Yes, there is an existing free browse trick using a modded opera mini though it only works so far with s60 phones (works in my n95 8gb)..it works with local carriers (globe, smart etc.). Haven't you guys heard about this? :)

im in my 20s. im not sure if i am the only lady here. Certainly, I cant be the only girl who can appreciate the n900's internal memory and multitasking (as for someone who threw in the towel with the iphone 3g after just 3 weeks -- mostly cause of the lack of an actual keyboard)

where can i get the otterbox case thingy kaya? im really going to need a decent case that will not hinder me from fully experiencing the feel of the phone..also without adding additional weight. this thing is effin heavy!

riceboy 2010-07-19 14:03

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from Philippines

hahaha yup its heavy, you can try amazon.com they have the otterbox in stock and some cool screen protectors that have privacy and mirror features.

as for the keyboard that was one defining factor for me as i do not have the patience of constantly touching the screen

what sold me was the endless things you can do to the phone/tablet itself

may nakita akong magandang case google mo na lang Black Silicone/Rubber Case yan palang ang case na interesado ako ayoko kasi ng pouches gusto ko easy access... :P

ako i dont want to use a case kaya i went for invisible shield di na sya nakakataba (dahil mataba na yung n900 mabigat pa) i tried using Zagg and havent use my clear coat yet kasi im searching for the best screen protector/body shield at the same time trying them all out.

@eileen

my sis does not have the n900 device (maybe yet) but she really wants one. the reason, she's a linux gal.

i dont know but i saw one user here that appears to be a gal, or maybe i am just being deceived by the user name.

@riceboy

kelangan meron mag-modify ng opera sa phils, pag-dumame n900 owners sa pinas meron na yan, Linux is a very open source and hackable device, so for sure meron agad tricks for n900 (like free browse).

sigh. wala talagang case na maganda. parang ayoko na nga lang ng flip top case.. parang gusto ko something like silicone or something para lang "just in case" malaglag from a table. kinda rowdy where i live eh.

ayan, dumadamina ang pinas based n900 peeps! matuturuan niyo na ako! haha! first time kong humawak ng linux based anything! kaya nakakaintriga to study it. something new to occupy myself with

pinas based peeps.. pag may nakita kayong protective case, chika niyo lang ako!

haha same here, my first time to hold a linux based device. parang pangit pag flip top case.

lol how rowdy is your place?

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from Philippines

non existent and otterbox for n900. well, online anyway...

i tried ovi maps before. sucks nga. i tried mapping my route from our house to moa and it just literally showed me the coastline of cavite towards manila bay. ngorks!

need more games, more apps more kutkutins!ll and another thing, bakit hindi ko mapurchase ang other games ng angry birds. i click it and then, wala it transfers to a blank page. un na nga lang semo decent game sa n900 eh.

eileen0812 2010-07-20 11:03

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from Philippines

@riceboy... rowdy...as in my year and a half daughter running around the house. i tried a cheapo booktype case that didnt fit. so one day i opened it to take a vid then kablag.... (complete with sound effects) nagdrop frames tuloy vid ko, buti that one time lang.

oh, and also, nasawsaw na ng daughter ko ung n900 sa glass of water. as in sawsaw ala pandesal is to coffee... ibang level nerbyos ko kasi 3 weeks pa lang sakin ung fon at the time.

hmm..hindi ba available jan yung original case ng n900 from nokia? mejo hasel sha gamitin kasi kelangan mu pa tangalin ung phone pag gagamitin mu pero it does the job naman..

eileen0812 2010-07-20 12:16

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from Philippines

ayoko ng gnun. id rather silicone na lang siguro. i thought id like a flip top case pero hassle na nga, hirap pang humawak sa phone if you want dibdibang texting or browsing. fairly decent screen guard nmn eh so siguro just to help out with bumps and falls.

Haha! I'm in the same position as you. N810 + 5230 ko = Internet anywhere (basta may load). So far wala naman akong problem with the N810 as a user. As a programmer, un nga lang it's considered a dead end. At saka gusto ko sana phone na rin sya. Haven't tried this Gnokii thing to see if it could work (newer phones aren't supported ata).

I'm still undecided to buy a N900 now, even with a highly seductive price of 21.9k (2k lower than the N810 when I bought it :D), because the N900 is supposed to be a "step 4 of 5" device. Dapat may isa pang lalabas na supposedly *the* Maemo device, but I guess magiging MeeGo na yun.

Still, if I can get a second hand unit in good condition, I'll grab it! :D
