Try just using one bios file at a time i noticed you have more than one in there.

What file manager programme were you using in the image?

GDE File manager or somthing like that someone posted a few pages back. Which bios file do i use though? dont only certain ones work or somthing.. Which is the best bios file to use? 1001?

Yes scph1001.bin

i had the same problem since i updated to the new version i had a couple of games which stopped working so i moved the bios from Mydocs to user and they worked again.

Man all i want to play is the wwf/wwe games if anyone has any of them and can test them for me id appreciate it very much, as i dont have access to games as i got rid of all my games years ago. And i dont have much dl limit left to be testing alot of games. Cheers im just about to try Driver as Bazza confimed it worked so if i get that working then i know im on the right track. Really want the wrestling games though loved smackdown 1 when i was younger brings back memorys

Also Bazza when i load games with no bios option i get just bios load failed? Where is the inbuilt one located? seems to not work at all...

Some people could be assuming PSX4ALL is working when it is not. I thought that too, since vids and some audio will work with PSX4ALL without the bios, but the PS logo does not come up and the game will not play. I assumed nothing at all would happen without the bios, so thought the games I tried just did not work with PSX4ALL. I then placed the bios where it supposed to go and the emu says the bios is loaded & the games work now.

PCSX has a built in bios and will play games without a bios (in the right place) as a result.

Every bin format game I have tried so far plays on both PCSX and PSX4ALL. The issue is they all work MUCH better on 4ALL.

I guess you would save in-game. I have not tried it yet so I don't know if you can real-time save.

Well I do know that PSX4all is at a development stage and no where near finished, however playing psx games today is better than tomorrow.

So how did the games work for you? What did you do to get rid of the artifacts? So far I tried (with no luck) moving the BIOS file to /home/user/, tried loadung without BIOS, removed scph7502.bin to leave scph1001.bin as the only bios file, I tried turning every option off, tried them on, tried editing the cycle multiplier etc. I still get artifacs...

What did you do to get it work??

1. Using bios 1001
2. In home/user
3. Turn of FPS counter
4. Value of 4 for cycles
5. Everything else at default

Raiden 1 & 2 play at about 85%, Dead or Alive 60% and Gunner's Heaven 85% speed with sound.

This emu could be the N900's surprise killa' app at the current pace :) .... Well, at least for game geeks.

Ok right Ive moved the scph1001 file to home/user and now when I tried to load wipeout it freezes on the loading bios screen and the same happens for Driver. Any ideas as to why neither of them will load up, seeing as other people have said they work, I know that Wipeout works on pcsx but wont on this emu for some reason

Well I tried doing as you said. Turns out SCPH1001 had to be in lowercase to work. I didn't know that. However the only difference is that it now loads the psx startup logos. But I still get artifacts in tekken 2. I will try different games though and post results.

Smoku, if you lower the sound sampling speed to 22050, you can gain some speed. Also by raising the sound buffer (but the sound comes after the event).

I'm doing something wrong I think. I have only ever got GTA2 to work. Other games just crash and return to the desktop.

yeah driver dont work just crashes to desktop using spch1001 not sure what is going on

I have made NFS 3 HP to work smoothly on my system (use cycle multi = 3)

For me GTA2 seems to work but when I begin a new game I cannot see my character, others, cars etc. but the walk of a ghost is very smooth! Does it work for you completely, without any glitches and errors? What are your settings and bios?

i had the same problem mate, you need to format the "memory card" the way i did it was through ff7, selected continue and prompted with "Do you wish to format?" did that, solved it. hopefully someone will post a easier way....

I noticed that the emulator runs faster if you restart the N900 before you start a game (A VERY NOTABLE speed difference)

Ever noticed that somtimes a game runs slower then you remember it on the same settings?

Restart the phone before starting a game.

Maybe it's just my phone, but it is SURE not my imagination. :confused:

I got my driver rom from the original disk it is an img file, it works fine but doesn't work without bios it hangs at main title screen.

ffs all i can get running is Crash Racing demo, even that crashes at the loading screen, every single game i have downloaded just crashes after the bios loads stressing me out now

I've gotten R-Type Delta and Contra Adventurer and raiden running very well ...Perhaps give them a try.

Does the White screen with the orange sony logo BIOS load up for you ?.

My setting is also no FPS display, cycle at 5. I could almost say the run at 80%....

try regetting your bios, ive got schp1001.bin and scph7502(41a).bin in home/user, got a few working games atm.

It must be a very specific case of plagiarism considering that the news fully credits you with your full name and the description page links directly to your blog.

Maybe you should look up some dictionary for what "plagiarism" is? It is using someone's work as your own. If I fully credit you and link directly to the page the news about your new port was QUOTED from then it has as little to do with plagiarism as you have with good manners and civilized relations with other people.

It wasn't an article or a review. It was just a short news about your port. I didn't see any reasons not to quote that ONE SHORT SENTENCE you wrote about it in your blog, or to change it by force to use other wording. I fully credited your quote with your name and URL and that's ENOUGH for a ONE SENTENCE LONG NEWS.

What you think about My-Maemo is your problem. NO, it does NOT aspire to be a "big news site". It is a small site run by a hobbyist with the purpose to offer a Maemo Software catalog for easy browsing, and discussion forums. The other site of mine, My-Symbian, which is the oldest Symbian community site in the Internet launched 11 years ago in 1999, has 130.000 registered forum users, 380.000 posts on the forums (of which over 24.000 are mine) and its small place in Symbian's history as during over half of its existence it was the most popular existing Symbian community site in the Internet. It's less popular now as nothing lasts forever and I'm too old to sacrifice as much time on running it as when I was 25 or 30, but its past achievements make me satisfied quite enough not to feel inferior when talking to Your Majesty Maintainer Of Two Emulator Ports To Maemo.

The only intention of posting the news about your program on My-Maemo was to simply let My-Maemo's 4000 daily visitors know about it. It was meant to PROMOTE it. It didn't make sense to change/rephrase that ONE SENTENCE LONG blog entry of yours because it simply was a single sentence saying merely that the emulator "has a faster engine than PCSX but slower disk access". If quoting just that (with fully crediting you) is a theft and plagiarism then you're out of your mind.

Last but not least, I preferred to rely on a quote from your blog entry rather than an opinion of mine simply because I don't own a Playstation and hence I don't have any PSX software to try the emulator myself with, while I do NOT use illegal copies downloaded from the Internet. If you do then it is YOU who's a thief, not me.

I already wrote all the above in my reply to your email, but I see that it wasn't enough for you and you feel the need to further insult me in public.

All I can say is: boy, rethink your attitude. Insulting people and calling them thieves and plagiarists in public only speaks about what kind of person YOU are. Just porting several nice pieces of software does NOT give you the right to spit at people whose only intention was to promote your ports.

As if it was making any sense and difference (not to mention being DOABLE) to rephrase that short sentence merely stating that "the engine is faster than in PCSX but disk access lags". He said it himself, so what was wrong with quoting it? Really strange. He's the first programmer I've met over the last 11 years (and I've been in touch with a lot) to have any objections against quoting his own official program announcement. I guess he feels so important that he considers every word of his to be worth his weight in gold. But how can NORMAL people know it? I'd suggest he puts a copyright mark after every sentence to communicate it.

He wrote to me that I am restricted to only quote 20% of what he wrote, which in case of that one sentence would mean 2-3 words max, i.e. just the name of his and his program, PERIOD. Really funny person.

A talented programmer, and a boor in one. Wash & go.

To save myself further insults, I think I will refrain from announcing new programs from him in the future. Which is actually a shame as I wanted my Software catalog to be as complete as possible or else it doesn't make sense.

Sure, it's just that there are better methods to communicate it than calling people thieves and plagiarists. And repeating after the author (while crediting him and linking to the source) that "the plugin is faster than PCSX but disk access lags" can hardly be considered a theft or plagiarism, either. I really don't know how could I change such a short information to use my own words, and what for. Or how it infringes on any of his rights or property if his name and URL is on top of that news.

Anyway, I know that for majority of people here a person who brought you as nice thing as Playstation emulator is now a God so I don't really expect too much understanding.
