Re: OVI Store Update, catalogues unavailable

So thats it? the N900 is neglected? Why on earth couldnt we get the update at the same time as the others? I got an email today saying that the new OVI store was now up and running, i quickly checked OVI, only to be dissapointed again..

And so they "talk" on twitter, saying that maybe before next week? WTF!?
This isnt support, this is neglect!!

Well, according to Reuters, they haven't lost that many. In the top stories today on Reuters, is that Nokia have sold fewer than 100,000 N900s in the first five months of sales.

Of course, that is pre-release in a number of significant countries.

Weeks not months. Nokia sold 100k in 5 weeks

Annoying that we dont even have the first level pack to buy and iphone has had 2 more level packs since then, at less than £1 each

How sad that you think this is accurate. The real story has been written all over the net for a great many hours already and still you end up knowing only the false numbers. Look around you and you'll see how Reuters and others messed up the story.

Somebody want to link me to the "correct" figures in an article then? Or an article suggesting that the figures are wrong?

And Jaysire, at first blush, it doesn't seem that hard to believe. No need for the sarcasm.

Re: OVI Store Update, catalogues unavailable

good idea! i think we need to get an ipad, anyways the new ovi store will offer the same old games for the ipod touch, jurassic 3d roller coaster rush. which is free to download on apples store.
anyway, apple has now 3d roller coaster rush 2 and new york 3d roller coaster rush!!! so.......... nokia is behind as always!!!

Re: OVI Store Update, catalogues unavailable

I don't know if this has already been said in one of the 22 pages, that I did not read, but...

I had problems with Ovi Store after PR 1.2. It told me to update, before I could access the store.

Apparently, the app called Hide User Agent had customized my user agent string, although I went with the original one before the update.

So to the peeps with the same prob. Check that one out.

Ps. Ovi Store still looks the same to me.

There seems to be a new twitter widget by Nokia, for me it doesn't show up in the store.

Code:

apt-get install feedservice-plugin-twitter2

Did you also download the game "kill the troll"? I love it

so whenever someone writes something u don't like, u start with the troll thing and nokia starts with the 'it's not a phone it's a pc' well face it N900 users which sadly am an owner of one too, N900 is a fast and nice phone without matching applications developped by giant manufacturers, not some kids on tool kits. and to save you all the trouble of saying buy a gay phone or whatver, i already have an iphone and it's equally fast and loaded with appps that ovi are promissing to deliver somertime next year (27 May).

troll says: nokia n900 sucks and is a total waste of money

Anybody know what the time and date is in Nokia land at the moment?

How long until they catch up to the 27th of May?

On August 31st Twitter changed its auth mechanism: http://blog.twitter.com/2010/08/twit...and-oauth.html
Probably this app doesn't work with Oath, does it?
