As others have commented, the delay isn't too bad ... it's only because I am listening on the radio and watching live online updates that it felt slow. Away from either, it's still a nice way of keeping track of things.

[edit]and I had the vibrations, about 4 of them I think. Mine says v1.0 too. Do you have vibration set on your profile on or off?

I would prefer the vibrating notification so if you are out and about it is a useful way of keeping up to date!

Try to restart it once(by taking the widget out and putting it back, not uninstalling). Should hopefully work after that.

Anyone found a way of changing the notification ie to a sound file GOOOOAAALLL ect. I know it was asked earlier without an answer. Been poking around abit and found the pelota-widget install file in
/usr/lib/hildon-desktop/pelota-widget
But cannot seem to update it.
Anyone else want to have a try.

Mexico goals, the adidas desktop pc widget shows the goal 55 seconds later.

Pelota-widget tooked ONLY 2 minutes and 22 seconds !!!

How are the notifications for everyone else. I only get vibrate. Is anyone getting a audio alarm? Just thinking we could trace that output if there is one.

Most of us are getting them from 2 - 4 minutes afterwards so far.

Interesting, i think the program asks for updates every x minutes, so everyone have different updates times.
Running netstat i noticed the opened connection to one amazon server.

hi everyone,

Yesterday I installed Pelota on my N900 and till now it is displaying the same image (shown in attachment) with no changes in scores, without any notifications by vibration or by sound.

P.S: I have tried everything; from restarting my phone after installation, removing the widget and then getting it shown, to uninstalling and re-installing it again.

Kindly I appreciate any help in this matter.

It never updates for me, only if i remove and re-add the widget. So it is rather useless.

Don't know why it's not working for you guys but it it working fine for me. Have you tried removing some other widgets to see if they are impacting?

This was a beta version of Pelota Maemo and we've been fix some bugs. Please, install again and sorry us for the inconvenience.

Installed version is 1.0.0-1 and latest version wich appears to update is 1.0.1-1.
Upgrading now ! :)
Lets see tomorrow how it works this new version.
