Re: [In Nokia Store again] Extraplugins v0.3.0 - ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber
coderus,
I just reflashed my phone fully (rootfs+emmc) now i installed this and added two accounts (1msn + 1jabber) along with all my other accounts...Once i deleted these 2 accounts they still show up in availability and the presence toggles in unrestricted sys-ui... Any way to delete them using the /home/user/.accounts/accounts.db file otherwise? I tried adding back those accounts but it only ends up with 2 msn + 2jabber... Thanks! |
Re: [In Nokia Store again] Extraplugins v0.3.0 - ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber
Yeah, I still love this plugin...Was able to make my first Voice+ Video call from a XMPP account to a Gmail account that used a netbook...it simply uses the Video dialog on the N9 (Is this only available after installing Gtalk Video Call or already in 1.2 itself???)
The integration is really well done...but I still miss some features as sending files,...and unfortunately I can't get encryption working with GMX XMPP (Germany) |

@coderus
Question: I found out that my SSL problems that I have with GMX are caused by a certificate which is not accepted. Does Extraplugins check custom certificates on the N9? Because I can add this custom certificate to the N9...The question is if this has any effect on Extraplugins (which uses libpurple as I remember?, or only for other protocols than XMPP?) Possible Solution: I have the certificate but adding them to N9 doesn't help. I see now that Extraplugins stores extra certs in "\libpurple\files\usr\share\purple\ca-certs" a collection of certificates... Could you please add the one from GMX there as well? That would be great!!! Attachment 29129 |

Can I suggest support for MySpace chat?
Considering Myspace is now revamping itself I think it would be great :) Take a look at their beta page: https://new.myspace.com/ Here is a preview: https://new.myspace.com/play |
Re: [In Nokia Store again] Extraplugins v0.3.0 - ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber
Hello CodeRUS, hello other girls and boys on TMO ;-)
Since yesterday I have a Problem with my extraplugins 0.3.3 The whole story: I have installed PR1.3 openmode kernel to be able run MeeGo Harmattan, Nitdroid and BackupMenu on my N9 64 GB. After reboot I had a known OpenMode Problem: The IM Accounts don't save the passwords after reboot: So I made a preparation for OpenMode afterwards: rm -rf /home/user/.accounts rm -rf /home/user/.activesync rm -rf /home/user/.aegis All accounts were deletet, after reboot I tryed to set up all of them again, but my Problem was: In the IM Status Menu I had 2 empty accounts (ICQ & Jabber), which I couldn't delete in the Accounts App. After I made rm -rf /home/user/.accounts rm -rf /home/user/.activesync rm -rf /home/user/.aegis a second time, I had 4 empty accounts (2x ICQ, 2 Jabber) A third time I had 6 empty accounts and o on. I could solve the problem with removing the extraplugins package. The empty accounts gone, but when I install extraplugins again, i get the 6 empty accounts again. Which folder I must delete to "destroy" this files? PS: By removing the extraplugins package i made apt-get purge extraplugins, so the configuration files of extraplugins should be deleted... Thanks for your advice and tips... |

Re: [In Nokia Store again] Extraplugins v0.3.0 - ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber
@coderus
What will happen when Messenger finally shuts down? Will it still work? The plugins will need an update? Or our contacts magically start appearing in Skype? |
ask microsoft tech support
|
Is it just for me msn logon stopped working? Network error is all i am getting.

Re: [In Nokia Store again] Extraplugins v0.3.0 - ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber
Me too :(
And no, contacts doesn´t seem to have merged into my skype account |
Same with contracts for me, they show up as msn contacts tho. No use on n9 tho. Kinda sad, have to migrate to g talk perhaps. Microsoft are trying to guide people to import them correctly but i gave up after teen tries. AS i understand msn will die in two months, so no real idea for icoderus to waste tone on it either way. Been a great addon tho, cheers for that.

Re: [In Nokia Store again] Extraplugins v0.3.0 - ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber
Looks like microsoft killed messenger already for everybody else except official msn client, and that will die soon too. I think it is time to switch to skype. Better first do it on windows machine to make sure migration works...

I'm going back to my N9 after a year of iPhone. AIM (aol) no longer logs in--- infinite loop of trying to login "Availability" screen. Have tried rebooting, deleting account, trying with another account. Thanks! |
