They said that the sending/receiving files function, won't be supported in the first release.

Been watching this for weeks! I know it might be in alpha or buggy or whatever, but I would do ANYTHING to get my hands on this if its already working!!!

Hey,

I was just wondering if it would be possible to have the whatsapp notification as a white icon on the standby screen (just like the normal messages and email applications)?

The current ebuddy xms app doesn't support this, and i have to double tap the screen each time to check for any notifications =/ I have gotten too used to just looking at the AMOLED screen for notifications (yes, it's that useful! :D) without touching my phone!

Don't know if it would be that helpful to make it completely OpenSource or if this just would make it easier for WhatsApp to detect if it is an official or our client. Maybe we can "just" share the code/information to some developer wanting to create an client for other platforms?
But that are just my thoughts and it is tgalal who has to decide it because he is the only one having the source at the moment :rolleyes:

In total I'm really looking forward to see an working version ;)
Is there any status update you can give us tgalal?

(Oh, I could also help with a german translation but I think we are far away from translating, first we need an working version)

And when the client is finished everybody who want to translate it should ask not before. Patience is a virtue :) Just don't spam this thread with translation requests.

I would have said it a bit nicer, but else "word". Idk why the past 2 days many people or websites got crazy about that - there is nothing new about it and it will come soon enough.

There is NO whatsapp available for the N9, point. If something else comes up (what might be the case) nobody will miss that news.

It's getting to the point that I'm receiving dozens of email alerts of people posting things not related to development.
