Branching is pretty easy with svn, too... So do that and move on. As far as UI, I had a couple of thoughts. First, it needs a portrait version. Second, why don't we ask some of the community for icon help? I don't really mind the current icons, but we have great artists like wazd that might be able to help, or even I can make decent looking vector graphics (it really isn't that hard). I had a design in mind actually, I will see if I can do a mockup of the portrait and landscape versions later. I also had another thought, but I'd rather take that to PM (are you away from IRC?). |

Re: [application] pyRadio (Pandora)
Sorry.. have had a headache all day today so wasn't at the computer for a while. I answered your IRC questions.
I didn't originally want to maintain two sources (or branches), but it doesn't look like I'll be able to get around it. But I don't want to maintain two UI's either. If you make a mockup of a UI I'll gladly look. I am not objectionable to changing UI's every so often.. keeps it fresh. I still can't find a working ComboBox in QML.. can someone point me to the right direction? I see one in the qt-components website but when I loaded qt-components onto my Ubuntu system it appears to be lacking. That makes me wonder if it's in the packages for MeeGo, N900, etc. Either that, or someone work a UI that looks nice with using a ListView instead. I had an idea of 'clicking' the Album Graphic switches it to a list of stations.. but then I realized I don't have a way to switch back :D. And actually, they do change things sometimes with the version bump.. for example the Create Station problem was a change that they did that I didn't notice. So while everything else worked the create station was requesting an extra parameter and failing after I bumped the version. Yes, on my list of 'To Do' I wanted to add an 'auto' incrementer if it fails the first time to climb up maybe 30 versions or so (don't want to make it infinite in case that's not the problem and get stuck in a loop). Then save the 'working' version into the config file and start from there after that. It would keep it going quite a while without the need of an update - but just requires the time for me to do it. Does anyone have a downloadable QT tutorial I can save to my computer while I'm up the in mountains? I might try doing some work out there but no interwebz. |

It's hard for me to believe that there won't be any type of internet up in the mountains....
Where are you really going? :) Ooh, what do you think of the icons on this page? http://dryicons.com/icon/classy-icons-set/fast-forward/ Scroll through all of them since there are a few at the very bottom. I'm not sure how much I understand that site though. You can view or download the images but there's also an option to purchase them as well. |
