Re: camera-ui2 (now a part of CSSU) (updated 09. May)

I noticed, that photos took in RAW mode via CSSU'ish camera-ui lack info about camera white balance (while every other info is present - for example, ufraw properly detect camera 2.8/5.s characteristic, and can use it to adjust photo geometry - great stuff!). As result, every RAW white balance must be adjusted manually (by user or by program algorithms), without any use for white balance calculated by camera software during photo-taking. No big deal, still, it would be great to have it.

Is there any way to "fix" (as if something that wasn't there before could be fixed even more ;) ) it, or is it some kind of limitation? While taking RAW's via fcam, white balance is preserved, but I know that fcam use different drivers, so no idea if it's related.

I am not an expert on raw image data, but
isn't the whitebalance stuff a postprocessing step
after capturing the raw data?

Right, and that gives you dependency error when running apt-get. Is there a way to ignore the dependency error?

AFAIK, not without changing the CSSU's dependencies. (see https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12203)

In the meantime you can try upgrading for any apt action and manually downgrading again afterwards.

Why dont you integrate the camera-ui with HD resolutions to CSSU?
