I was also told that the Nokia store would get the handsets before general sale.
So who you gonna trust - Reuters? Or me?
Please, please prove me wrong.....

You propably get it at week 48.

Yes - we noticed. But if Nokia's CEO is wrong about this and they [B]don't[B] start shipping today, well .... then I will.... um,......I'm going to..uh, keep pressing F5 until it does launch...

Let's wait for something official (although it looks good, Reuters is not some gossip agency) :)

Who else should be more official for Nokia than its CEO? He is the man that can make it rain.

I think REUTERS is trustworthy and to quote OPK is even more. I believe this IS true.

So now, PETER, you are now allowed to confirm.

By the way: Where is Jussi?

Ok, so just help me out here - as I mentioned earlier, I preordered a N900 from Nokia Helsinki. I'm no longer there, and will be in the UK soon, so what's the order of shipment? Nokia online uk first I guess, then flagship store London?
In other words, if delivery is today, as mentioned by the CEO, how do I get my hands on one within 2-3 days? Online or at the store?

it's all guesswork, but the most sensible suggestion is they are sending to their stores today and others tomorrow.....
So their stores are in stock from tomorrow, others the day after or next week... alll depends on their master plan, which we don't know.....

So...when will this thread get deleted/locked/moved?

RevdKathy 2009-11-10 09:32

Re: N900 shipping delayed

I would suggest that if shipping started in the middle of the night. the CEO gave Reuters permission to publish at a certain time, and not before. Or he contacted them when he came into work at 8am Finnish time.

Other places (like the Nokia websites) don't start until 9am, and will take a little while to update. Not everyone has been sitting up round the clock for days hitting refresh buttons. Most people have that funny thing called 'a life'.

With any luck this is a Genuine Press Release, and the devices will be in people's paws soon.

So I have pre-ordered mine on Sept 7th and I paid for the fast delivery.
Does it mean that I would be receiving the phone by the end of this week still?!

BTW, nokia online store in finland...

we don't know yet. I would suggest anyone asking when will i get mine - asks the people they order it from. The more news we get from the actual suppliers the better :) :)

laut Reuters

Thank you for contacting Nokia Care
So far we have not received a contrary message that is likely to constitute the present extradition.

I pre-ordered mine september 5th from Nokia online store Finland. Its bit weird that the store webpage now says that they deliver at week 48, even though CEO now announced at the same time, that devices are on the way.

I guess we just have to wait and see what happens! Of course it would be a nice suprice to get it this week...
