lol my status still says ready for despatch ;) - i really wouldnt read anything into any of the statuses :) - some poeoples say complete and they havn't got their phones :)

phoned on saturday half 1 to late to pick so there dropping at my work tomorow he said its bn sitting since thursday they dropped card at my house but i was working away last 2 days :(

I ordered on 15/10 and has been ready for despatch since Thursday...Do you reckon it's coming on Monday..I could work from home to receive it but then if it doesn't come I wouldn't be able to pull the same stunt again! So I'd have to use the opportunity wisely :)

I'm crossing fingers for you :0 - i'd take a bet that you will get it around lunchtime on monday :0 - you ordered early enough to be in the first few batches i think - so good luck :)

Ignore the calls and things - but work checking with mpd in the morning to confirm they have definitley dispatched it. if they did on friday you will get it on monday :)

The packaging is definitley special delivery next day :)

My best mate did ninjitsu - allthough i could never remember what it was called - so i always just said he was a blackbelt in nintendo..... :) (It's tough being me lol!)

Hi Stamen, sorry i havn't replied, didn't see your post in the middle of the nintendo'jitsu break....

Well i was ready for despatch since wednesday - and got it friday - so i think you sound like you are in the same boat as ninjaboxer :)
Are you able to call MPD at 9am and ask them if they have posted it? - then if they havn't goto work? if they have you will get it on monday :)

Just called MPD as my PAC code expires by tomorrow to see if I need to provide a new one. They seem not having much clue about anything.

I was asking them if they need my order number to check if it's already dispatched but they did not seem to bother. They said is it about N900, it will be with you in the next couple of days (no checking at all).

He said as soon as I receive my handset I should check, and if my old number is not transferred, to call them with a new PAC code..

you get far more than that on my old contract i got 300mb free a month so you get far more than that

just spoke to vodafone - and they said allthough it's a fair usage allowance they do not cut of people for going over a few times. So i explained that i have the N900 (Good phone he said!) and that i'm setting it up and downloading alot, he said not to panic - it's expected that you will go over in your first month, but expect to get a warning letter if i hit 3 GB+! :0

Anyway, the reason why i called vodafone was for something else - so may help new voda contract peoples.

I notice flickr is blocked because of content restriction. So went to the voda forums and tried to register. Couldnt register with account details, that i don't have!

Called 191 - spoke to a nice guy on the other end, restriction removed in 30 seconds, works fine. and he sent me an email to my account with auto-registration for the voda forums/account details etc :)

Very simple, and was very impressed!! - so you don't have to wait for your account number to arrive :)

Hi noobmonkey, I have ordered N900 with Voda as well. I am wondering when will my new contract start. I am about to go on holiday on 13th Dec so I would rather like to start my contract when I get back on 1st Jan... Is the new contract intialized when they send out the phone or is inserting the SIM card to mobile the trigger? Thanks!

I checked that last week - my contract was started the moment i activated the sim card (Turned the phone on with it in)

Before i did that, i put my work voda sim card in it for a day. - checked it was all fine, then put the new one in :)

(Means you can check the device without starting the contract)

I am also interested in Skype. Can you make Skype calls over 3G? If not can you at least use skype chat?

I'd call 191 from a vodafone fone and ask them - or call up vodafone to confirm - i'd love to say yes - but i'd feel more comfortable if you ask them :) - But it worked for 1 day with me :) hehe

received and then made a skype call to Australia today, was switching between 3G and 3.5G - worked fine :)

No idea if it costs extra over data, shouldnt, but i wouldnt put it past vodafone! - not shown up on my online bill yet - but can take 24 hrs, so will confirm tomorrow.

Hi guys i am hoping to receive my n900 on monday (ordered on the 20th of nov on vodafone). Just wondered how long i have to port my number over from 3 mobile, i still have a month left on my 3 contract is it still possible to keep my old number.

I ordered on the 11/11 and status changed on thursday to Ready for Dispatch but nothing at the moment :/ I am on Voda aswell, free (18 mths).
Unlimited internet, as far as i know is between 500mb to 1gb (vodafone said to me its impossible to over it) HHAHA im sure he just time traveled from couple of years ago where if you had 10gb hard drive, people would think you are rich lol
but anyway :D, i had no calls or anything, do you guys think its best if I give them a call tomorrow morning (if i can get through) and find out?

Yeah - good news on the ready for despatch, i'd guess you will get it tomorrow, but no issues confirming it has been posted.

Previous posts are now saying MPD aren't even checking orders though. They have said everyone will get theirs in the next few days :(

11 will be borderline 2nd/third batch out, but i'd guess you would have it by tuesday, and hope you get it on monday :)
