The main argument against phone-design diversity is market fragmentation. In one way it leads to sheepish stylin' of one boring design. Nokia's huge asset was diversity, which after change to marketplace as profit driving factor turned out to be costing too much vs return. In huge mass campaigns one size/shape/factor was promoted as being unique (bit like smoking and women-penis torches in the old days), yet the change of context alone was not enough to Screw that, lets kill those guys (or offer them: stick it up your @$$, swallow it &... get lost, or die) |
