i hav libsdlppre.so. i dnt have libsdlpre.tab.so where to download this? and how to execute it? i hav many lib file in opt/preenv/lib..there is also libsdl.so
i downloaded the webos2hd.sh file. what to do with this file? can you plz explain a bit for a noob. and how do i get subuser?

Download libsdlpre-tab.so from here: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...postcount=2406

Place it in opt/preenv/lib like libsdlpre.so. Then place webos2hs.sh in home/user. Give it execution permission:

chmod 777 webos2hd.sh

Then execute it:

sh webos2hd.sh

Then you will able to play the hd games, but you will have some problems with games like angrybirds seasons. So when you want to play those games again, just execute webos2hd.sh again.

with just the above steps i can play angrybirds rio HD with all the levels? but where to get the game? just googling -download angrybirds rio HD deb would do?

can we hope more games such as nova2 HD or modern combat?

Anyone know how can I edit the Game_Compatibility list ?

any way , this is my try for various hd games :

Angry Birds Rio HD ------> works fine

Doodle Pool HD -----------> works fine

Slice It! HD -----------------> works fine

Quell HD --------------------> works fine

Galcon Fusion HD --------> works fine (onscreen buttons are very small but clickable , and the game is playable)

Shrek Karting HD ----------> crush at the begining

Sparkle HD -----------------> Segmentation Fault

Buka HD --------------------> Incorrect touch screen mapping

Need For Speed : Hot Pursiut HD ---------> missing textures (not playable)

Big Boss HD ---------------> dont work at all (no problems appear in the x-terminal)

I will try more games tomorrow :)

can anyone help me on how to install suduser..i did apt-get install suduser but it coudnt find the package.a am having the following problem while executing webos2hd.sh

Yes, you have to install sudser and don't type sudo gainroot.

i installed angrybirdsrioHD before executing webos2HD but copied libsdlpre.tab.so to opt/preenv/lib.the game crashes before opening.i suppose thats how it should be right. i hav downloaded the games that work.just waiting to solve this problem

sudo ask you for a password because you didn't install sudser. If you installed it, then maybe you need to reboot your n900.

thank you karam.it worked:D i opened angrybirdsrioHD. it opened.tapped screen twice. at the loading screen it automatically closed.any solution?

That looks normal. It seemed to run fine for me, but the textures were messed up and I couldn't see anything on the screen anyways

Ok. i have made a new sh file for you.

Download weboshd.sh from here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SZ7QDMNM and place it in /home/user.

Place libsdlpre-tab.so and libsdlpre.so in opt/preenv/lib.

Open the x-terminal and type:

sudo gainroot

chmod 777 weboshd.sh

sh weboshd.sh

Then you will be able to play the new hd games, but you will have some problem with the old ones. So if you want to play the old games again, you will have to run the scrit again typing:

sudo gainroot

sh weboshd.sh

And if you wnat to play the hd games, just run the scrit again.

it also seems to be normal

and about missing texture in touch pad games , I found that there are many games run in touch pad with missing texture and the solution is to copy a file with name metadata.json to every game folder , but when I tried it with NFSHP it didnt work , I think that preenv didnt read it so there were a missing texture , what do you think about that ?

Create a desktop icon with desktopgen and then it runs fine. Only noticed slowdowns if there are huge amounts of ships on screen.

it is the SD version (which is for phone) but scaled for touchpad , and when you run it using libsdlpre-tab.so it run with small screen , but when you run it with default libsdlpre.so it run with full screen an with limited touch ability (unplayable) , so we must wait for HD version of it
