Re: Overclock the N900?
very interestin thread have read through it believe it or not...
I have waited for overclocking the N900 but didnt have the necessary knowledge ;-) However i want to run experiments on the battery consumption using battery graph. I thought about testing the 125-800mhz and 125-900mhz kernels in different scenarios ( i mean like video playback/audio playback/web browsing/streaming/standby) Please suggest your applications of interest and what kernel mods you'd like to have tested. I dont want to test extreme settings though, just the moderate ones which may be better than the original setting in everyday use. Also give me advise which applications would be strongly affected by increased processor speed but without dsp speed up. If battery life will remain pretty much the same with moderate oc i am lookin forward to use them constantly. btw big thanks Letho! |

Re: Overclock the N900?
can somebody upload a step by step guide of how we will overclocked the device . I have read all the thread but i could not find anything.
From what i have read 125/900mhz is the best option and it is quite stable. have anybody tested with 1 hour navigation or 1 hour psx4all continious playing? |
Re: Overclock the N900?
Any videos featuring Flash games performance after overclocking? maybe miniclip games?

Re: Overclock the N900?
Guys is it posible so have a modified kernel and some one makes a overlocking app that allows user to select what speed that want via terminal or gui?
i'm not a programmer so any takers on the idea? oh is there any way to get firmware information back in "about"? |

hmm strange, mine on conky, even with bounce and banner in back running... clocks at 125mhz idle... and when just music is playing it goes 500 to 930 mhz edit : music playin' on speakers uses more cpu than with earphones... finally it can clock to 250mhz on speakers too |
Re: Overclock the N900?
:eek:mine with mp3 playing is 60-75% @900mhz
ok its better now lol |
