Was the problem with the Storage & Network not showing UPnP devices ever resolved? I am talking about the problem that BadBoyUK mentions on page 10 of this thread. I have the same issue, I only have a couple of small videos and pictures in my Windows 7 Professional 64bit shared folder but it never seems to show up in MediaBox Network folder.
If I use the regular Media Player that came with the N900 it does find the videos and play them correctly (so the sharing on Windows side is set up correctly), but I can't use the regular Media Player to view pictures (because it was not designed to do that) and I read somewhere here that MediaBox is great at that.
Can somebody please help me out?
Is there any other program that would help me view pictures in the shared Windows folder if MediaBox can't connect correctly?

What about adding a play option at every place to play the whole content
within it? At the moment there is only "add to shelf" and "add to playlist".
So if I want to play a whole gender or all ablums of an artist, I have to go
the way creating a playlist first.

I would like to see this capability as well; I create .M3U files on my media and I would like MediaBox to make use of them.

The other expected feature I'm inexpicably not seeing is being able to load a YouTube by entering the video ID number. I often get YouTube URLs in email and would like to paste the URL or just the video ID (e.g. "h1Rx-zaBjow") into a field and have the video loaded.

Having just decided to find a better music playing app for my n900, I'm delighted to find this thread at the top of the page waiting for me.

Save me downloading five different apps and working it out for myself!

I noticed yesterday that MediaBox seemed very unresponsive to taps and hardware-button presses for a while after a track loads (from the memory card) -- like ten or fifteen seconds, at least.

2010.10.17 on OS2008 / N800

Shoutcast support seems to be broken for me too; like a couple others I'm also getting:

genre list not available

.. at the bottom of the Shoutcast window.

Shoutcast has changed its source or address, i've contacted the author of mediabox while ago and he said he is busy and will get to it when he has some time

Is it only the address, nothing else of the API?
