Maybe @ 1PM? lol

It was vague about the 'starts shipping'

This could mean Nokia are shipping N900s out to wholesalers and retailers first before fulfilling online pre-orders.

So although it begins shipping to the stores today (from the factories to the distribution centres?), you're saying we won't get it in our grubby little mittens until 16th/23rd? Even those that order from Nokia online?

zuerst hieß es, sie würden heute ausliefern. auf erneute nachfrage hieß es "wir haben eine neue information erhalten, es wurde auf den 25.11 verschoben". Die haben keine ahnung, dass weiss ich auch

hoffen wir sie sind, wie sonst immer, einfach ahnungslos ;)

Gentlemen,

yesterday I have cancelled my pre-order from Nokia USA (in order to get one from UK). It took me almost an hour of waiting and endless discussion with an operator, who tried to convince me not to cancel.
He has assured me that Nokia USA will get the N900 by the end of November.

I also read that Peter mentioned Russia as one of the countries.
N900 can be now found on nokia.ru with a spec, but no pre-order and no date.

I should have had cancelled my US pre-order earlier, perhaps Nokia would have start shipping earlier.

I think when Nokia says 'it's shipping' it means that the phones are leaving the factory.

And the factory is usually not near. So it might take some time when the phones are at the hand of the end users.

But of course this gives hope - they are coming. And after this it is constant flow of phones coming...

Don't get your hope too high you'll get the device this week.
Shipment probably only to wholesalers and retailers to fulfill their stock requirements.

Then ignore them! May be you can get it faster and cheaper in a Cyberport store (I have one nearby) or in a ProMarkt shop. I think they will have it on stock before 25th. Look at http://www.preis.de/index.htm?AKT=ka...ID=321069.html

It was a danish shop that had promised it would be out the 9th november. But sadly that was wrong.

But now a danish new site have just said that nokia have sent their N900 out :s
