Re: The EPIC N9 anticipation thread
I will be upset if the N9 doesn't have a keyboard. My 2009 self is giving me the "srsly?" look as I type that.

I remember crashing win98 in about 5 mins trying to get it to multitask... Still think of win98 vs Amiga like Android/iphone Vs Symbian/Meego ... hehe |
Re: The EPIC N9 anticipation thread
Actually come to think about it win95/win3.1 was a bit like Android, a parasite front end on a text os ...

Let's just take this release as one of more to come. Keyboards and all. |
Re: The EPIC N9 anticipation thread
The first time I came here was to see if there was a mobile hotspot app for the then all-new N900 device because I wanted to replace my 5800 which was serving among other things as a wireless router. I found a bunch of illegible shell scripts there and some talk about iptables and Linux kernels (I hadn't used Linux for more than 15 minutes by then) and I decided that I'm gonna get it and make it work. I saved the script and left. Now more than a year and a half later I use Ubuntu on both my laptop and desktop, I am administering a Linux webserver and have coded a little bit QT. That is what I expect from the new device. To engage me like the N900 did.

Re: The EPIC N9 anticipation thread
With the haptikos techology, you won't be missing your hardware keyboard, right? Right?

Re: The EPIC N9 anticipation thread
I will miss it. Lots of weird things like dosbox will be difficult if not impossiible to use.
