Re: Samsung Galaxy Note
Has anybody successfully mounted N900 as a storage device on android?
I would like to use N900 as a storage medium. I connected the N900 to Note2 using an otg cable. The android phone only sees N900 UMS once i stop the charging using 'stop bme'. Although the Note2 phone does see the UMS but i get a "Damaged usb storage" notification. The N900 is running stock kernel with stable CSSU while the Note2 is running stock kernel/rom. |

Besides, this exploit seems to be the reason behind postponing the release of the android jelly bean 4.1 for the s2 and the original note gtn7000 till 2013 : http://www.phonearena.com/news/Andro...l-2013_id37806 |
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note
Samsung confirmed Jelly bean update(which is a promising update) for the original galaxy note. They included a silly typo as well. They said "project buffer " instead of "project butter":). The only missing thing is that they didn't state the update date.
I've bean eagerly waiting for this update because of its project butter, air view, multi window and other note 2 features. http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsu...Buffer_id38098 http://www.samsung.com/global/micros...html?type=find |
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note
There have already been several "leaked" Samsung JB ROMs for the GNote (4.1.1 and 4.1.2) making the rounds, but it seems all of them were still less than mature (bugs and battery life etc.).
If Samsung manages to come up with a couple more excuses like this one, the GNote III will be out before the upgrade :-) |
