give it another couple years & that will dry up too

Nokia instead will be betting everything on Windows Phone 7 platform and Elop is confident that it will be well received."

Nokia n9 was not a hit. Good first try, but not good enough. Does it have a potential, yes. But that is not enough. Apple usurped Nokia at it's game and nokia is left to join another ecosystem. I think the choice of MS is a good one. Resources are there and determination is there. Apple was left without it's leader and it will be interesting to see how Apple does creatively without Jobs. MS is a good software company. Lumia 800 is a good basic smartphone, and let's face it, so is N9. The lack of apps is a killer among young crowds. Young crowds love to show off games and new snazzy apps, and Apple wins. Nokia showed that they are NOT a software company. So forget Meego as a high end. It's not smooth, and it's not stable enough to succeed where it matters.

Who else in their right mind would choose to launch their biggest product release of the year on the day when 70% of all stores are closed? Really what were they thinking. Was christmas day too far away?

I would like to hope that maybe someone wanted to create a false sense of demand for this product as that Article Title would suggest? However with watching how nokia has been handling their show for so long now, I would not have a hard time believing its yet another cock up in an endless cycle of cock ups.

Props to them getting to #5 on the amazon top 10 phones list though. They still have some way to go before they are up there with the kindles and iPhones in the electronics general list. Gotta wait and see I suppose.
