Just saw the tag "it will be on 12.21.2012" - I assume this is the official release date (and it isn't in American time format) ;-)

I don't even own a smart phone (been considering this one and either a samsung galaxy s or htc evo when they are available) but I too have gotten caught up in watching this thread.

honestly, I am 44 years old, and I don't think I have ever seem anticipation build like this for anything ever in my life. really its kind of ...

Most of the company's release updates on tuesdays like Microsoft....Burppp...

Some research,
PR1.1 was released on January 14, 2010, Thursdays...alright
Can not wait for the improvements on PR1.2.

And it's not like its going to bring a 1.6 ghz processor or 12 MP camera with it..
I think it's mostly the excitement of updating..we get it..download it..reinstall all our apps..then go back to the same old way of life..waiting for pr 1.3

I'm giving a bump to this thread. Honestly, I will miss the PR 1.2 thread! It has been amazing :) I've never seen anything like it!

So, despite being the creator of another PR 1.3 thread, I am giving this one a boost :) Since, technically, we should be seeing PR 1.2 in the next few days with the HK release.

though some are saying that they have recievd the release I have not. Ill keep looking but no sign of official release.

I hope someone can help me.
I wasn't able to install PR1.2 update.
Rebooted, still impossible (extracting battery does not help).
Reflashed kernel, nope.
Reflashed with vanilla, (I supposed mmc failure)... nope.
Trying with NSU, no way.
I have 59.63 mb rootfs, so it isn't a memory-issue.
Any suggestion?

I've seen much worse: Microprose Falcon 4.0 Community editions, the so called "SuperPAK" versions. That's where the 3-4 weeks tags comes from :D

I have the same problem.
I have stripped the phone apart and cleaned all the circuits and chips. Still no update. I have also reflashed and formated everything. ?!?! What gives ?!?! :D

It may be because your unit is running too hot:(, try running it under the cold tap for a couple of minutes:eek:, thats what ive done, im just waiting for it to finnish in the dryer then ill try again, fingers crossed;)

BTW, I'm dancing naked under the moon light shadow while begin Tor and Odin to help me in the installation process... I don't know why, but all my neighborhood is watching very close this process. A couple of them are taking a video, for sure they want to write a tutorial...

You'll know when its out because of all the new threads saying so and the ones saying "help i cant update"
To clear your cache open a web page open the dropdowm menu from the top bar go to settings and then to clear private data.

Here's hopeing that tomorrow will be the day!

Pop it in the toaster oven for 3 minutes on medium...that should bring pr 1.2 to Minnesota. I've got mine in the freezer as we speak, then we'll see what this puppy can do with it's brand new firmware. I'm just hoping I can find the proper drill bit for the final portion of the installation process.

I just checked app manager it came up with 3 applications to update - abiword, zip plugin and pidgin protocols, none of them were done due to THE UPDATE FILE BEING CORRUPTED. Does that mean the repositories are running a different version ready for 1.2 which we will get in the morning??? :)
