guys, i suddenly cant play youtube videos on mediabox mediaplyer,

it says " waiting for SDP" and then stops or runs the next video on playlist and the same happens.

what is the problem, i luv this mediaplayer, longtime had it now.

can you help me fix it please.

YouTube changed something to do with the urls apparently, look at the CuteTube thread for info. Marxian says it's a simple fix so it depends if the developer of this app is still updating it.

Mediabox is working, yet the mediabox home plugin doesn't.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/hildon-desktop/mediabox_home_widget.py", line 9, in <module>
from advpowcommon.util.device import device
ImportError: No module named advpowcommon.util.device

same thing happening to me. also youtube not working on the @scene.
any 1 any ideas how to solve and is their any better apps to watch youtube on.

It is not working on my N800. I tried re-flashing and reinstalling separately Canola, MediaBox and MyTube, twice. Also changed the location of the drivers and modified the scripts. No luck, nothing changed on my device so I would go with their side being changed. Don't waste 4 hours like I did. Just have to wait and hope for a software update to accommodate YouTube’s changes. Regards.

There are 3 reasons:
1. There is a new flash around from Adobe.
2. Some of the videos are on mp4 format.
3. MS has launched MS Silverlight - and pushed it even to my Mac.

Download the video stream, the first bytes are enough. You can read the format in any text editor - the Unix "file" command in enough. Linux/Unix relies entirely on this to detect the "file type".:cool:
