Just confirming, installing devel applications does not necessarily bar you from the update.

NAM (North America) version updates fine.

no update in app manager, but apt-get dist-upgrade works

i have huge problems after installing newest sw over flasher
keeps on restarting all the time no chance ton enter anything
quick question can i reinsall sw 2.2 without any risk?

having checked for the updates and thru the nokia software updater at

Go to http://europe.nokia.com/A4305060 i then receive the following message:

Latest available software for Nokia N900, product code xxxxxxx
Version: 2.2009.51.1

Compare numbers
If this version is greater than your current software version, update now to get the latest features, applications and improvements. Go to Nokia Software Updater download
