I just went ahead and built libgstdsp.so myself from the very latest sources (nov 25), but I don't have the 720p setup.
Anyone dares to try if this works?

Ok I have tested this mutha...I am afraid it does not work. I start recording. The screen shows about 1/3 of a second of video, it shudders once then the screen goes black. I have to then close camera-ui. The video appears in the video list, without a time next to it (implying tracker cannot crawl it).

After switching back to the one provided in this post, all is well again.

Missing source files for hd codecs (in tidsp directory). So 720p videos will not work...

Some more copyright holders, from source code comments:
Marco Ballesio, he doesn't work for Nokia anymore.
Texas Instruments
Victor M. Jaquez Leal, he never worked for Nokia

So, Nokia is not entitled to close source this component, at least without written agreement from all the copyright holders, and must abide by the LGPL.

I suggest further contact to Nokia, and if they still refuse, notice all the copyright holders of the copyright infringment and request their help in this matter.
