While technically you're correct, there have been photos and videos from the factory showing devices produced. It seems unlikely to have those staged/mounted, so we can assume at least some amount of devices got produced (someone here counted more than 100 according to the boxes). If devices got produced, it is in Fxtec best interest to start shipping them as soon as possible, so I don't see a logical reason (except conspiracy theories) not to believe in this.

And that most of the pre-orders will be completed until the end of November, and general availability will be in December. And the next batch, which is much larger than the first batch, will be in mid-November though this might've changed already. That's at least the latest what we've been told.

You don't think absolutely none of the hardcore fans posting about getting their shipment notification is good enough reason to believe they didn't actually start shipping like they promised? I think they're still juggling customs and the like, and haven't shipped to customers yet like they promised. Or maybe they're still building up the stock for the first batch. We just don't know, and personally I'm only going to believe they've started shipping (to customers obviously) when I see a third party verification of that like a shipment notification.

It’s all part of an alien plot.

Flying saucer crushed near London at the beginning of 2018. They are showing us some alien technology as a smartphone prototype in order to collect money to fix their ship.

It doesn't really say anything regarding shipping. Seems that they started shipping to fullfillment warehouses/customs last week and are currently still underway. In the meantime and separate from that, they've now assigned phones to orders/customers, which is what this email is about. So people know they're in the first batch.

Note that they've said that they're prioritizing shipping based on indiegogo vouchers and payment date. The order number doesn't really matter in determining when they'll ship your phone, the order number was only used to determine when you got your payment request.

I got the notification too. Early pre-order, 4-digit order number, paid fast. France, QWERTY, w/ coupon.

[Edit] Here's one good reason to get a Pro¹: no more automatic corrections that change everything. The last time it happened to me, my Jolla C suggested something very kinky to my contact instead of an appointment the following day. Not sure what is worse between that and the Pro¹ mixup I caused.

That's interesting. Considering the low number of orders in the first batch, and that some others with a voucher seemingly not getting one, I figured those without a voucher would be out of luck currently. On the official forums there was somebody with a 15xxx order number with a voucher getting an order allotted, seemed he paid on the second of August.

Yeah, it is interesting since I used Indiegogo coupon and paid 1st of August (order number 11xxx). I haven't got any mail yet. I really hope that the mail is on its way.

There shouldn't be any order WITHOUT Moto Mod code at first batch.

I am checking with our shipping forwarder, to me it seems to be an human error / mistake here.

@Kabouik your order shouldn't be in this list. Sorry for that but we have to make sure one with coupon code gets unit first...

Personally I completely understand that orders with vouchers should get preference, but removing orders from the first batch after they've already received this email might make people (irrationally) angry. Not saying it's better to not do that then, because I wouldn't know either, just saying this probably requires some tact.

As the first batch has now been delegated to it's orders, it doesn't look like your order will be included in this batch. Realistically, the next batch, which is much bigger than the first one, will arrive and it will be ready for shipping in the mid-November.

My order No is 52XX and I made the payment the 31st of July (acknowledged by F(x)tec the same day). I didn’t received the mail yet, maybe because I asked for a qwertz keyboard.

Astaoth, yup. Some of it is a tongue-in-cheek and/or freedom-of-speech-abuse type of trolling to gain attention, but most of these opinions is genuine racism. These "Aliexpress blah-blah", "the Chinese blah-blah" posts were meant as an insult and IMO, should be treated as such.
