I preordered 3 days ago from nokia UK and they said it will be shiped on november 9th.
The bloke i spoke to said the delay has allowed them to get more devices in for the first batch.
If your desperate and dont mind spending a little extra, the chance is you can still get it on the 9th direct from nokia UK.

Yeah im kinda sure, but still cant tell you that im 100%.
If you take a moment and think about it:

almost ALL reviewers have said that the phone works pretty nice to be in "beta-stage", surprisingly flawless. And that makes this long delay because of the firmware pretty much bull.

It is the first phone to come with these specs (i rule out the iphone 3gs for it being an apple product, if u still don't get why i did that, dont bother reading), and by it early announce, it has already made it first impression by the dozens of reviews, videos etc ---> and that is more then enough to get people stuck, and eagerly waiting, and even if there are phones with similar spec announced while the delay, ppl will still want the n900, (the first impression).
And thats why people are not going to cancel their pre-orders, and still wait, after all the unprofessional ... lets call it marketing.. from nokia.

Even thou i have this theory, im still going to wait.. im not going to cancel my pre-order, even that i have said that i will only wait to end of nov. Believe me, if it comes out in jan2010 here in sweden, i will still be waiting... which is absurd if you ask me.

I've just received message from Nokia Poland, They wrote that N900 will be available in the second part of November :(

I've noticed that for a while why? I noted that because the shipping usually takes 2-3 days (assuming they get it out of the warehouse Saturday and trucks still move Sunday) and my unique schedule doesn't always have me living at home with my parents.

My guess is the device still is not ready to be boxed, so when it is, we will hear about it the day they start boxing them (Nokia will not keep this information to themselves).

If the devices will ship within a few days of being ready & boxed, we can at least guess the N900 is not ready at this time.

Hmmm. Or is it?...... ;)

When did they do that? o.O All we've head from Nokia [Peter] was that it wasn't coming out in October and sometime in November.

Hrmm well I paid out the wazzoo for next day shipping - Does that include Sunday I wonder.
