if anyone knows how to fix this please help :P

You can tap above the login box or wait for it to disappear and it should be fine, but note that Facebook will require you to login again if you haven't been online in the past 24 hours.

See http://github.com/rburchell/facebrick/issues#issue/4issues for the reason why the login dialogue pops up every time you load Facebrick.

My facebrick has suddenly gone a bollock.

i open it, i get the login screen which i usually tap above, it then just pops up for a second then closes... any ideas??

tried reinstalling but no joy. :(

What closes, the login dialogue or the main window (Facebrick itself)?

Yes,no luck

Is libqfacebook 0.1.3-2 important for this to work?
I have 0.1.2 installed
http://maemo.org/packages/view/libqfacebook/
I've tried to install this but it conflicts with the installed one, incompatible package

I've removed all facebook related stuff in FAM
Is it possible to remove 0.1.2 and then try to install the new deb?

It's the recommended way of doing it. Given that both the inbuilt and iphone's facebook app are closed source, I don't know how they do it.

i see. well, it's quite annoying for facebook to change the language on the login page based on its own internal logic. that's why i was asking this question. thankfully, it is a one-time event.

keep up the good work!

i just installed this. some of my friends have slightly longer posts or have a post with a video that has a long description. when this happens, their post or the description overflows into the next one and the text overlaps one another making it difficult to read. this happens in portrait mode.

oh and btw, the facebook login page appeared in english for me. odd too. i recall it was in my home country's native language when i first tried facebrick a few versions ago.

hmmmmmm the problem with portrait mode doesn't occur if i close down facebrick and launch it again. it now becomes a different problem. the gap between the post with the long text and the next post now becomes bigger. there is quite a bit of whitespace in between.

if i then go into settings and play with the font size slider, the first problem occurs again (text overlapping) - this happens even if i slide the control back and forth and then leave it back at where it was before.

also, can you save the username + password?

and btw, the first time i ran facebrick, i saw the login page from facebook for applications.

now on subsequent runs, i see a different login page. one where it shows "Email or Phone:" as the login name. is it supposed to behave this way?

there is a link at the lower right corner of this login page with "Full site" and when i click on it (ok, maybe by accident:)), your facebrick application gets bypassed and i get a browser view of facebook inside your popup login window.
