How much more work is needed for hardware graphical acceleration? My n900 was very warm the whole time I was using it. Is gpu acceleration a possibility / how likely is it?

I can not partition the card, explain:

following the guidance of paragraph 3 of partitioning, I digit sfdisk-uM / dev/mmcblk1 <<EOF and hit enter once sent me down this symbol > after I type ,<2100000>, C resubmit
then obviously
, L sending
,, Sending
,, Sending
EOF sent

Once you press Enter after the partitioning eof me but eventually I sfdisk bad input, where am I wrong? I have a memory card, panasonic 4gb class 6 hc formatted fat32

Use 2100 instead of <2100000> :)

Multiple reasons, some of the main reasons is no hardware accelerated graphics, and buggy accelerometer support. This will be improved!

any help on my market issue?

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic

Well I think you guy have done a fantastic job, especially as android was not designed for the N900.

Market Place works well, installs the apps(had a little problem downloading but then as someone mentioned earlier started gtalk and the download worked.

I am sure that with time the speed will increase(although I dont find i a problem after turning off the transitions stuff). Also I am sure the Dev's will get all the other stuff working "They have done extremely well so far".

Excellent work guys thanks again once more..

:):):)

anyone else having problems with the up arrow not working would be better switching to the old keymap...I find it much better and can use delete key to return to menu.

im still having problems with apps constantly shutting down unexpectedly and having to do a force close to the point where it is unusable, and im having to pull the battery to turn the phone off

I might try re-formatting the sd card and trying the install again, as ive extracted the tar file several times and I still get the same issues

Is the down button on the English keyboard (4 arrow) but is left arrow on the nationalized keyboards (same physical key)

I followed dj steve's instructions without problems. Most apps crash for me too.

Big problem for me: no fm radio under maemo. I use it all the time so I would like to get it back. If a fix with nitdroid is not likely then I would like to uninstall. However, with the new install process I am not sure how to do so. No flashing was involved so what has happened to the normal maemo kernel?

My "Up" key does nothing that I can see. On the last build it was the "Home" key. Also, my volume up and down buttons actually work, so is there a reason to keep mapping the left and right arrows to volume control? It would be great to have the arrow keys as actual arrow keys.

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic

Got it up and running as wel, impressed with the progress so far! My SD card has one big fat32 partition + 3 1.9gb ext3 partitions. I guess it installs on the 1st ext3 partition if you follow the standard instructions?

Also, some things I noticed or I'm curious about:

- Is it normal that multiboot or nitdroid uses around 20mb in rootfs?

- Is it normal that the phone gets quite hot in nitdroid?

- I also want to know how to deisntall multiboot and nitdroid, since it seems to use quite a lot of resources. Maybe make a howto to undo everything if possible? (it seems the installation installs some variant of the power kernel, since conkey says it now runs linux 2.6.28.NIT.03?)

Oh and my fm radio isnt working either, but I dont use it so no biggy for me :p

Downloading apps from the Market now works, but I really don't know which one was the right thing to do. However if someone else still has the problem, you might want to try some of the following:

- Switch airplane mode on and off
- Log in to Talk and log off, maybe log in again
- Clear all personal data from Settings / Privacy (I did this -> reboot -> no wifi -> reboot -> wifi works but I still have my settings as always, but download works...)
- Maybe changing the address from whatever@gmail.com to whatever@googlemail.com (haven't done this myself).

thanks again.

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic

The bootloaders can be removed through Application Manager.
But, I just ran an apt-get remove bootloader*

I also cleaned my /etc/bootloader.d/ directory.
Though, I would ask in the NITDroid Help thread, not in this thread.

this post was made a few days ago, I just read through that.

I didn't realize that the auto-installer was back up to date, I think your best bet is to follow the current directions.

Rootfs isn't really affected, the bootloader is fairly small, but you do need a couple hundred megs free on your external MMC
