I believe once everything is loaded onto the trucks it will be in transit even on Sundays. NewEgg is usually pretty good about getting orders processed quickly. And if you have next-day shipping they generally prioritize your order for loading onto whatever service (FedEx, UPS, etc..) your using.

Re: N900 shipping delayed

Keep in mind that it seems at this point it's not going to be a world-wide release (e.g. all stores get it at the same time). It looks more like it'll be regionalized. Especially since there are hardware keyboard differences and differences in the regulation of wireless channels (e.g. 1-11 in USA and 1-13 in EU). So the USA might get it before it's released in the EU or vice versa (though it seems by release dates, it's the EU countries that are reporting dates being pushes as far back as December).

Then size of the companies purchasing the product from Nokia (e.g. Amazon versus a smaller retailer) and whoever has contracts for the n900 (none in the USA but some countries have the n900 on contract deals) also plays into account as to which retailers get the lion share of the product.

Do you say that based upon experience with past Nokia phones? The world was first alerted to the fact that the N800 had shipped by CompUSA putting them on shelves early, so for Maemo devices at least, it hasn't been a given that Nokia would trumpet pallets leaving manufacturing facilities.

This from Twitter made me laugh:

RT @CambridgeCEOCOO: #n900 - $582, shipping - $12, getting an actual delivery date - PRICELESS !

I have a feeling that they put 51 on the internal name of this device as RX-51 because they are planning on releasing this on the week 51.
