That pic clearly shows Meego and Maemo logos so it implies that the brazilien N900 is still coming with Maemo.

maybe they are watching this thread on nokia and are too fread to relase pr1.2 because everyone is waiting and relasing could cause so much traffic on repos. So please stop constantly check for updates and they will release it ;D ;D

Never have I seen so much anticipation for a firmware update. I woke up this morning hoping to see the exclamation mark staring at me but fail.... Hopefully soon though :)

just woke up and the first thing I did was check for updates... Nothing! :( am in the uk so does that mean I'll have to wait and extra few weeks anyways?

Maybe it'll be released tomorrow, that way the nokia folks wont have to sort out the mess that will ensue as they'll all be off for the weekend :)

I sure am going to stop following this thread for now and join the drunkest student party of the year... I almost hope PR1.2 doesn't show up before I'm sober again next week (which it quite likely won't as all engineers at Nokia Finland will want to get properly drunk too).

Has anyone thought that Nokia have no intention of releasing PR 1.2. They could of promised to fix the bugs, play on there iPhones, and hope we didnt get too restless.

But with this thread they have noticed we wanted a fix. So they use their iPhones browser to look into work done by Intel and dream up Meego.

After completing ALL the levels on AngryBirds (on the iPhone) they have nothing to do, so they check back on this thread........

AND SEE THAT CHUCK NORRIS HAS APPROVED PR 1.2 !!!

I can tell you now, they wont be drinking this weekend - they are **** scared of CHUCKl

it was Vanjoki who said that next update will be in April and actually today is the last day whwn it's possible. Releases have never come on friday..

Let's hope it comes next week

Rumors from russian maemo fan site, 2day HK gets it's N900's with PR1.2 on board, rest of the world during 18 & 19 weeks.

ive heard a rumour that they wont release it until it plays Half Life Black Mesa at 60fps and until they can run touchXperience GUI !?!

So whats is the real reason we don't have PR1.2 yet?:

-Fimware still buggy?
-Revamped Ovi Store not ready?
-Other Ovi services not ready?
-Some apps they want to shine with (AccuWeather? Shazam? Games?) not ready?
-All of the above?

Well Nokia are probably working on Symbian3, Meego, SDKs etc etc. N900 isn't the only thing on their mind.

In any case this PR1.2 is only a dot release as someone pointed out here earlier, anyone with dev experience knows that dot release only make smallish changes/additions.

If this was PR2.0 THEN there would be a major major update. And meego is still in development as well, 90% of testing will be done on the Nokia N900 anyway, so we may not get an officical release from Nokia for the N900, but we'll still get the full Meego experience, from developers on meego.

The only thing missing for me though after this PR1.2 update will be Java and a decent GPS app (sygic is crap).

Hmm maybe if I press it again at 4:00:10AM it will be there. . .

Again no luck.

We at 99% BS yet or is there still some actual recent information worth anything (other than the HK release).

omg. ever since apple made firmware releases a big huge public event nokia is trying to do the same thing. Not cool nokia we just want it. Its obviously ready as it been flashed on all new n900 HK version being made

honestly. sygic in australia has been amazing so far. fast to lock. quick to use. easy and nice.

Yes but the routing algorithm is **** - even when i choose shortest route it still takes me the long way!

My Route66 on my N95 8GB is way way better.
