They managed to get Anbox running on Ubuntu Touch on a Nexus 5 months ago though, so I'm fairly optimistic that it's just a matter of time before Anbox runs on PureOS as well :)

Re: Purism Librem Phone

summary from the video:
-snaps and anbox are installable with a workaround
-anbox kernel modules can be built on the devkit, and inserted without issue
-android runs fine, and you can connect to it using adb
-graphics dont work, libGL and libEGL errors, complaining about imx-drm libs missing

Re: Purism Librem Phone

so my guess is that literally all the aspens went to purism devs, employees and family, and that purism asked them not to post unboxing videos so that they could have more controlled press releases about it, or because the aspens are less polished than the weaver's

"and marketing"

PS
Talking about marketing.
I would simply refer to - at least - the Aspen batch(?) as (initial) pre-production units.

Linux phone and "unboxing video" in the same topic.. This forebodes not much good says my instinct...
Back to reading the latest news about the latest wave of ultra expensive, hip and fragile foldable display phones.

Purism is a real joke, I don't take purism as company serious anymore. I will send a message to theyr support to see if I can get money back.

Beta birtch/chestnust phones should be sold for half price and the aspen should be sent out to developers at plasmamobile, ubuntuphone for free!

I take fairphone more serious because they care about environment.

I take system76 more serious because they are real linux geek company.

I take tuxcomputer more serious because they similar system76 laptops for european countries.

I take Jolla more serious because they have the best working mobile OS!

I take pine64 more serious because they atleast care about the devs first and they are real Linux geeks.

Purism is doomed I do not expect them deliver anything 2020.

The not joke companies take us as a customer not serious, hence the desperate "wait" for something Purism promises, marketing or not...
So what's next see further in 2030?
