Mines at Guilford too. The girl said they had about a hundred to get through and it would be sent out when its sent out basically. Which I told her was pathetic and MPD needs to get a grip of their procedures and management. Sending a £500 phone out without giving the customer a tracking number is outragous to that she simply asked if that was all. I promptly slammed the phone down. MPD are the worst customer services I have ever had the mis fortune of coming accross, I don't care if they are busy get extra staff in if the ones there cannot cope or send them on customer skills classes. Even better fire the lot and start again.............

Ive been waiting for this for ages, hope its better than my iphone 2g, im getting sick of that. I also noticed MPD dont offer on T-mobile anymore, whats the reason for this?? Thanks

T-Mobile was taken off because Vodaphone bought up an exclusivity from Nov to Jan.

Congrats on getting yours, but your info has irritated me somewhat! I ordered 28/09, and had reasoned that my phone was later because I live in East Anglia right on the coast, so it had a bit further to come.

But the fact you live in Belfast, and ordered nearly a month later proves that MPD sent them out willy nilly!! Just happy I "KNOW" it's defo coming tomorrow.

From what I can tell only 2 people have received theirs today and I'm not sure if it was just a case of collecting it from the postoffice after having missed a 'sorry we missed you card' or if the van actually came today. I for one was working from home until 1pm waiting for it to come but then had to go in to work. Will not be impressed if I missed it, then again, would be a relief to know that it's actually close by!

Just like my phone was delivered on this Saturday seeing as they promised me it was sent out on Friday? Don't believe what they tell you - they lie to you plain and simple just to get you off the phone.

NotTheMessiah 2009-12-07 16:56

Re: Mobile Phones Direct N900 Customers

So.... its looking like MPD didnt despatch many handsets on friday. Seems that they're just being really rather lazy about it.
Almost makes me wanna go there and show them how you handle customer orders, almost. About 10 a day as one store said a couple days back is just stupid. I could process more orders than that in an hour using nothing but the power of my own farts!

Rcampbell 2009-12-07 16:58

Re: Mobile Phones Direct N900 Customers

Exactly,
If I worked for MPD I'd be literally throwing the N900's out the door into the back of a postvan to get everyone sorted so they shut up! I wouldnt take weeks messing about with it all....

side note; emailed my nearest MPD store (Bath) And they said they had no N900's in stock but hope to Soon*

*anytime between now and 2017.

I think as the HTC HD 2 is coming out/came out they're being bugged by customers about that as well as the n900. Because of that they think that getting rid of the n900s won't stop the ringing! So they're taking their own time.

Okay maybe I would'nt throw them, just place very gently...wouldn't want the customers complaining with broken microphones, dead pixels, random restarts etc would we now...

hahaha

Maybe so, Lets just hope that the company has learnt from this series of shenanigans.

Um, just had a thought- on the subject of RM delivery times. Didn't someone EONS ago say that theirs was delivered at 10 pm? or something ridiculous like that? Might even have been on the UK thread.

Oh maybe that was Citilink form Nokia
